I know this will be hard on Max, but it's just a suggestion. :wacko: Why don't you try and make a Buddy List? So you can check it to see who's on. And, also, you can customize on who to have a pop-up notification when they login too! It would be VERY useful! B)

Implementing a buddly list is very easy to do because it is built straight into the server's functionality. For version 1.0 we will almost surely have this feature.

2. Also, in order to have add a buddy, the other person must ACCEPT. (This could prevent some things, like stalking for instance.)

no no no. You don't understand. It would launch a list of people online, and you wouldn't be able to whisper to them unless you both add eachother to your buddy lists. That way you know who's online without having to add every second person you see to your buddy list.

You make the buddy list and members list different things.
Maybe intead of having a whole online list, there could just be something on the interface that says how many people are online, and you can hunt them down yourself.

My general idea was that you have a member list that has everyone online at that time (launches in a new window, maybe), but you can't message anyone or see where they are. Those features are limited to people on your buddy list. And when a buddy comes online, you get a notification.

It might be a bit pointless, but you need something to tell you if there are people online who aren't on your buddy list. Maybe just a number somewhere on the interface would be enough. ("20 people online" up in the top right or something similar.)

To get an avatar, go to "my controls" at the top of the page, then go to avatar settings, and choose/link to/upload an image for your avatar.

3. This topic is about having a buddy list. There are other topics concerning your suggestion. Anyway, there are no plans currently for there to be battles. It may be added some time after the release of v1, since many of us would love to see that ^_^.

Has this suddenly turned into the Warning Topic? This is going off-topic, and hasnt this been disscussed far enough? It seems that were all repeating the same sort of idea's all over again, just in a different person's eyes.
Too much disucssion, that has been repeated, and too much going off-topic. I have a feeling this going to be closed sooner of later. But I'm just giving a though about it.
And a Buddy List? That would be nice, like I said before, but that might be too much in asking, isnt it...
