Yeah, Star magician was definately the second hardest boss in the game. Second to Dullahan who was so hard I only tried once (i need to get gs1 so i can transfer my data)

Dullahan only took me 1 try. He was way harder because he was the only one to knock me down one whole party.

Doom Dragon is terrible. I almost died when he put all my djinns in recovery. Nasty, mean, big and fat dragon if you ask me.

Like I said in one of the other many many many many boss topics, Dullahan is the most annoying, also the most hardest, but also my favorite. Put it all together and you will come to the conclusion that I like hard annoying bosses.

You couldn't have beaten the doom dragon on level 42 and had full health, I fought him on level 56ish and I won only using my first party, not the second, i'm pretty proud of that

This reminds me of one time when I was facing the doom dragon... When I was level 40, EVERYBODY was dieing on the doom dragon. Isaac and Felix kept on reviving each other, until they both ran out of psynergy. Isaac fell. Felix was the only one alive out of 8 party members, with no psynergy, hp, or any other healing item. I thought I was going to lose so I just attacked it- and it died. Luck, I call it!!!

A boss that's annoyingly EASY are all of the other bosses except DD and Dullahan.

but it is true... i began the battle with Isaac, Piers, Jenna and Sheba. i kept using Healing auro with Jenna, and with Isaac i kept using Djinn and Judgement. with Piers I kept using normal attacks (75% of his attacks were unleashes, and he had Exalibur). when Jenna was out of PP, i used a psy crystal or swapped her for Mia. after some time i swapped Isaac for Felix. i kept using Sol Blade with Felix (80% ot the time he unleahed mediggo). then after some time i swapped Sheba for Isaac. i kept using Djinn again with him. and with some others then i kept using Catastrophe and Jedgement. i beated him with full health.

Doom drago is pretty easy for a "final" boss. The sentinal is hard cause he heal 200hp every turn. i only versed dullahan once... Star magician is a b*stard, he is only easy if you have the right strategie. Poisiden is also hard for his time...

How come satteliteKid? I thought it was relatively easy for his time (being the last boss as he is). Apart from creul ruin, he hasn't got very many powerful attacks, I thought star magician was harder.

True Agatio, though you have to admit that the fact that DD has Djinn Storm like Dullahan doesn't make him any more appealing.
The Star Magician, btw, has an incredibly low defense for a boss. Summons (especially Venus ones) do incredible amounts of damage: Odyssey also does quite some damage. Take out the Refresh and Guard Spheres and he is practiacally defenseless (just thought I'd clarify this). So technically, he's pretty easy (and very fun to beat).
I don't care what anybody else says. I went up against the DD with a level 45-ish party, and it was incredibly difficult... maybe it's just me...
I also agree with MysticWarrior. The toughest bosses are always more satisfying (you'll agree with me once you beat Dullahan in hard mode... :D I still have nightmares...

Oh, yeah, Doom Dragon is weak to the core. He dies so quickly, I hate him for being too easy. I also beat him with full health. Still, Star Magician is the most annoying. :D

I can definitely say that Valukhar (spelling?) was one of the easiest, most ridiculous bosses of all. He practically does the work for you when he puts your djinn on standby!
The Sentinal didn't cause me too much trouble... except for the fact that the first time I went up against him, I had no idea he was immune to psynergy :D

You forgot one annoying powerful attack from Doom Dragon : Darksol (I think it's spelled like this, since it's breathing dark smoke at you). It can curse your characters (not death, a spirit) and he may use it as a one-two punch with his Cruel Ruin. The next turn, if your agility is too low, he will finish you off (unless you have something in mind). I died several times because of that damn combo.

Star Magician hands down. The Angry and Thunder Balls were no problem, but the Refresh and Guardian Balls made the battle a lot longer than it needed to be. Especially since it seemed that would be all that he made....

I think Dullahn is the hrdest and most annoying boss. The other 3 bosses (Star Magician, sentinel and Vulkar) were wicked easy i beat them all in 1 try and had every one alive and at almost full health. The only way i beat dullahan was summoning like crazY and having Felix's party die. Issacs party summoned like crazy too and issac was ythelast one left with 33hp. Talk about a close call.

star magicians refresh balls are the most annoying of the balls (followed by guardian balls)


sentinel is annoying because of the no-psynergy (no break to counter his guard either!- but rime and luff relly sort that out)

question: is battle mode easier or harder after beating dullahan?- on the one hand you get iris, but you may face dullahan again..

about the serpent- he only recovers 30hp a turn (if you lit all the torches), compared to dullahan's 200hp recovery per turn

djinnblast is the most annoying psynergy (doomdragon, dullahan)-
even L.99 characters have trouble defeating anything with no djinn

the most annoying is possibly posiedon because of the trouble you have to go through just to get the trident

Definitely Dullahan, djinnstorm is EVIL especially when he uses it everytime you've just about recovered from the last one, not to mention Charon's instant death on a random number of characters! I also hate Formina Sage and True Collide, especially after a djinnstorm. I managed to beat him with constant howl from Sol Blade, 2 Excaliburs and a Tisiphone each with around 700+ attack using mist potions to heal. I massacred the rest of the bosses, even the Star Magician put up little resistance. I'd say the second hardest is either Deadbeard or The Fusion Dragon from the first one, but they weren't particularly tough.

Edit: Sry Lord Raenef, i forgot to answer your question. I think he does because there has to be something backing him up when using this. Besides, if im correct( correct if im wromg please) he does a move thats called Psy Blast. Also, before, if memory serves correctly, the little text menu at the bottom said, cannot use, not enough PP, for me.

Yes, I think Djinn Storm uses up Psynergy. But recall that Dullahan, the Sentinal, and I believe Valukhar (spelling?) all recover 200 HP and 30 PP per turn.

Oh wait, no Valukhar... I remember that because at one point when I was up against him, he tried to use that 'Stun Jip", or whatever it was, and it said there wasn't enough PP...

Dullahan... He could set all your Djinn on Standby, and then strike with Sharon, with definitely the 'instant-death'-effect applied to half your party.
The Star Magician took me ages to defeat. I got like 13000 experience points when I killed him. The Guardian Balls where the most annoying, they had the same effect as Flash. The Mars and Thunder Balls could do MASSIVE damage, and the Refresh Balls healing at least 1000 HP.

I had the most unfortunate experience with on the battle arena yesterday, after a huge struggle he cast Charon and killed ALL FOUR FRONT PARTY MEMBERS WITH THE INSTANT DEATH EFFECT!!!! If that wasn't bad enough he then cast Djinnstorm on back party and they didn't last long after that. Very irritating.

Star Magician is little more than a nucance as long as you can make all four of his little floating orbs Thunder Balls; all they can do is attack. Refresh balls recover him, Guardian Balls protect him, and Anger Balls are suicide bombers.

Thunder Balls are the lesser of the 4 evils.

Who Valukar? No, he uses Djinn Stun and then attacks you with your own summons, which does make him an annoyance, but really, just use your normal sword attacks and unleashes until he dies.

The way that I beat him, I make sure that he has 4 Thunder Balls; they can't self destruct (eliminating any chances of the Star Magicial creating any other types), and they're physical attacks are weak. Attack the Star Magician until he's down, then kill off the balls.

He can be really hard, but in most cases it just takes persistance... unless he gets the upperhand on you, but there is a stradegy to use (tho it doesn't always work, and that's when it can get hard) i just found him annoying cuz he was repetitive and took a looooooooooong time to kill...i didn't find him hard tho

that boss was ok his star mine attack was pretty effective but i have to say the attack i hate the most in this whole game is djinn storm MAN I HATE THAT ATTACK.(hmm this should be a topic)
