I think it would be nice to have a introduction animation. A short flash with drawn characters or enviroment that give tells you a little about the content itself (where u are, what your doing, the plot, the time, etc maybe even throw in some credits)

I understand you guys are still trying to figure out version 1 but consider this for a future version if possible.

I don't think GSW needs an opening animation. It's a bit pointless since GSW is really just a chatroom. You don't want an animation playing every time you open MSN do you?

I think its a great idea, Julian, but won't it take up way more space than usual?

I think some of you misunderstand (or this topic belongs elsewhere). The original poster suggested an intro in the GSW game, not on the forums or website. I said we would consider it, but I don't think the likelyhood is very high.

Yes, it is. But in it's current form, it's a virtual chatroom with nifty interactive features :). It's more of a community thing, not a game as such...
I think an opening animation would be a tad annoying, but it would be excellent if there was a 'help' or 'introduction' button on the sign in screen, which would then open an animated introduction to GSW. It could be quick overview of how to chat, what house is what, etc. And maybe there could be a recording of somebody's monotonous voice <_<, like in most tutorials at the beginning of games.
