Anyway, really, I need to work someplace. My friend tells me to work down at Giant Eagle, but I heard the pay sucks as well.

Agatio, I hope you know that child labor laws don't apply to businesses owned by immediate family (not to mention, the limit set by the US government is 14 years, though individual states can and do increase the age). He could very well be a manager in that restaurant if his family owns it.

BTW, Illidan, graphics design doesn't pay. There are just too many graphics designers out there. You'd have to be a top-notch designer to hope to have enough money out of it to call it a career.

I still very very highly doubt it. I mean, he's 14, posts like a 6 year old. He can't even spell restaurant for goodness sakes. How can he be a "third manager" at one?

The only ones that make enough to call it a career are actually those that went to art colleges with a different career on mind. Most of them also do much more than just graphics design. Even then, most of the best don't make enough to support a family, so they either wind up taking a different (though related) job or stay single.

You know, the small ones where--if there isn't much business going around--you get to hang around with your boss and/or co-workers and play Magic or Yu-Gi-Oh!, etc.

I do hope that there'll be a card store around when that new mini shopping center is finished down in the school district. Maybe the one from the former Highlands Mall will move down there, so I can apply for a job.

Anyway, I got a new job today, after a couple of months of looking / interviews / applications. It's much better than where I currently work (casual at the local KFC) in terms of working conditions and pay. It's also located in the heart of the city, which makes it pretty easy to get to, and it's close to just about every kind of shop I can imagine.

Anyway, like the title asks, does anyone else here work or have you found something since last time you posted here?

We've got two in town, and I've always had a nack for makeing good coffe (and it's a lot less embarassing then working at a fast food joint like McDonalds). But if I can't get a job there, I'd probably try for Dairy Queen. It's the least active fast food joint here.

But it's not something I want to do for the rest of my life. Next year I'm starting a new education called Multimedia Designer, and I'm planning to start my own company with two friends. I hope it all works out.

Not even just to say "no". I think it's because I'm Seventeen and I've never had a job before, since my peers have been employed since they first rolled out of the cradle, I guess they assume that something is wrong with me.

They could be the same exact store, but higher at different ages at seperate locations in the same county. Really annoying.

I work in the telemarketing branch as salesman. But it's not something I want to do for the rest of my life. Next year I'm starting a new education called Multimedia Designer, and I'm planning to start my own company with two friends. I hope it all works out.

Quite possibly a software firm of sorts. Or mabey a game developing company. Who knows, by then, I might be designing flying cars. ^_^ But for now, I'm content wasteing my life away here.

I focus on school, but not too much! ^_^ At a ripe old age of 16 and currently a sophmore in high school, I plan to begin my college life two years early, starting next year. THAT will be a handfull for the next 2 years. After that, I'll probably have gotten some old junker car and fixed it up (my dad has been doing auto body for damn near 30 years. I'm covinced he can fix anything :D ). Only after school, and I have a car will I get a job. But I'm happy with my advances in the real world so far, don't you agree?
