Update Problem The link won't work.

I recently bought Golden Sun 2: The Lost Age. I was hoping that since I beat Golden Sun 1, and did not erase my complete file, that I could put the data into GS 2.
I have 2 Completed Files.
The problem is that when I use the link option, the screan on GS2 says something like "Preparing for update of Erase Only file. Press B to cancel" Those are not the exact words, but it is something simmilar. That screen will stay up for over an hour unless I press B. It isn't frozen, and I do not know what it is.
I have an Origional GBA, and a Gamecube GBA attachment. The GST was in the Game Cube, and the GS1 was on the GBA. I used a link cord thing.
I made sure that the cord was attached well to both systems, both systems were on, and that GBA has green light for batteries.
Is there something I need to do for GS!, or am I messing up somewhere?
Also, I do not know how to use the password system, and if someone explained that to me, I might do that instead. Thanks!

You insert GS1 into GBA 1
You insert GS2 into GBA 2
You attach Link Cable Side 1 (Smaller side) into GBA 2. Other side into GBA 1.
The on GS2 you start a new game (or an existing game IF BEFORE JUPITER LIGHTHOUSE ONLY) and when it asks you to transfer data, click link cable.
That is the way you do it. I didn't really understand your problem as it hasn't happened to me and I'm feeling dumb today.

The link did not work, but I did the gold password. I hate that I had 6 pages so I could have my characters. :P

What was the error you got? If your password was wrong, you could've just tried again.

I beat the game w/ all djinn (Yay!). When I did the password, it said that I had on;y 5 djinn of each element. It also made my characters go down levels. :agitated: I hate it. I did it again, and again, and finally I got it right.
I still can't get the link.

Even if everyone does hate it, it is very advanced to be able to transfer files without a cable. Just another way that Golden Sun has revolutionized the GBA as we know it.

Maybe it's the GameCube link up? Instead, you should try just getting another GBA and try to link up again. I see that as the only flaw.
