I like MSNM because it's easier to use and more..."forgivable" than AIM. However, I like AIM because it's more stable, and doesn't randomly log off as much as MSNM.

But in the long run, MSNM all the way.

Why do people get AIM in the first place? Is it something to do with the whole "AOL > world" thing? Are people forced to use AIM because of AOL (America Online)?

Who knows. At first when we got a computer my friends told us to go with AOL but it never worked on our computer so we went for MSN. Much better.

I use Gaim, sicne I like to use all of my accounts at once, but if I were to pick between only those two, MSN obviously. Sleeker, better ergonomics, and better options. AIM is made by AOL, and AOL is much worse than Microsoft, so MSN would win whether or not their's was better :agitated:

Trillian allow for you to log on to multiple screenames simultaneously, while only having one program running. I found it overly complicated, and stuck with Gaim, as it was much more straightforward.

I like MSN more, more people and such. AOL is also internet connection to some. (Dont get dial-up for AOL if AOL people have it. It's slow). Getting Brodband connection is ok...but on AOL you can get disconnected from it from time to time. (Happens to me, so I dont like it. Anymore)
AIM...it has it's own service. You can use your AOL SN for it. (AIM or AOL SN works. Bleh) And no people arent forced to.

Im glad I live in Australia also, I have broadband, but it does get disconnected every now and again, but I thinks thats the Wireless router thing stuffing up, not the actual broadband network.
