But that's my opinion; go ahead and discuss. I'd prefer staying on the topic of the new game, but please, feel free to talk about the older ones as well. <_<
(Waluigi pwns. :D)
I'm hoping that, like the new Mario Golf games, Camelot plans on a GBA installment that will sport connectivity with the GCN; they probably will. :D

Actually, Waluigi isn't Technique anymore; he uses a new style, the "Defensive" style.

The opening is the worst part of the whole thing, its dumb as hell, mainly the last part. Cmon, mario is hittin bombs and gigantic bullet bills with a tennis racket. That is the single dumbest thing in history.

I suspect a seedling of the old Izar in you ...
... *clears throat* In any case, it may be dumb to you, but before you jump to flaming, I should say that it's pretty basic. You'd expect Mario to do stunts like that and live to tell about it. After all, he is a legend, but I agree that he can be overrated at times. I mean, if Mario did anything else right now, it'd be the end of Nintendo's "super star".
But still, this game is suspected to have a better game engine, with lots of new and unheard-of features. Who knows? If a similar but much more basic version of this gets on the upcoming DS, then Mario Tennis fever will start running through veins and interenet tabloids everywhere ...
... Or maybe I'm just overreacting.

Mario type: All-around
Luigi type: All-around
Peach type: Technical
Daisy type: Technical
Shy Guy type: Technical
Bowser type: Power
DK type: Power
Wario type: Power
Yoshi type: Speed
Diddy Kong type: Speed
Koopa type: Speed
Waluigi type: Defensive
Boo type: Tricky
Bowser Jr. type: Tricky
Note: Waluigi is the only Defense character... There are much Power types... I will post the defensive and offense styles of playing for the characters soon! ^_^
I think it's a bit strange that Koopa is a Speed type. Turtles are slow creatures. And Yoshi is Speed too, I expected to have him All-around.

I mean, it's very Sunshine-esque. Some of the gimmick courts are inspired by Sunshine, you can see piantas (natives of Isle Delfino) cheering in the crowds in Peach's Court, and even the menu screen oozes Sunshine; with shine sprites and whatnot.
