I think you're thinking about Legend of Zelda/Four Swords, there is multiplayer in it (Four Swords) and it ROCKS! ^ ^
Anyway... unless I'm mistaken, it hasn't been released yet in the US.

Anyway, TDW, how do you get the item that lets you climb Mt. Carrel (sp?)? I mean, I know it's in the southern cave from the entrance to the foot of the mountain, but I've tried everything (not to mention a few tricks with the bombs).

If not, go to the south of Trilby Highlands and into a cave with a 2X2 flashing square. Bomb the wall to the right of it.
If that doesn't help, post back and I'll tell you more.

Okay, well, I'm at the part where I have to climb Mt. Crenel for the first time, right after I get the first element (the Earth Element) from the shrine in Minish Woods. The elder of Minish Village told me to go talk to someone atop Mt. Crenel for the next element, so I headed that way, and at the foot of the mountain, I found that I couldn't really climb it. When I defeated the Business Schrub in the cave right at the foot of Mt. Crenel, he said his "friend" towards the south of Trilby Highlands has an item that will aid me in climbing the mountain. Well I tried to head south right in the Trilby Highlands area west of Hyrule Town, but I can't really get to the lower level where the Business Schrub's friend should be (if I'm not mistaken). There seems to be only one way down, and that's near the bottom right corner of that area where a hole is placed right behind a stone, which blocks the way down a set of stairs. What can I do about it?

You can use an empty bottle on the water, getting some water to pour onto the sapling...

GBA Zeldas are getting closer to Console Zeldas rapidly.
Soon, we'll have L/Z Targeting...

I don't think they could do that with a GBA game. Well, they probably could, but I think it'd be a little pointless since battling is already pretty easy. (for me anyway)
Although, they'll probably have it for the rumored DS Zelda game.

Is it worth getting? How long is it? What's the difficulty like? B)
I'm not sure if it's out in Australia yet, but I feel bad missing out on a Zelda game (I already skipped a Metroid game, shameful). It just seems a little too... childish.

Yeah. Seeing as the games are 3D it could be the first hand-held with L-Targeting...
Yay. L-Targeting!

1. Yes, it is worth getting.
2. It took me around a month to finish the game but I still have 1 outlying Kinstone, 2 Heart Pieces and around 50-70 trophies.
3. It quite difficult, though not too evil.

By the way, TDW, I found out how to get to the Business Schrub's friend. There's a ladder in the Trilby Highlands due south near the entrance to Hyrule Town, where you can go down. Once there, there's a weakened wall on the far right, in which you have to bomb, and inside is the friend of the Business Schrub (which is, obviously, another Business Schrub). Right now, I'm progressing through the dungeon on Mt. Crenel.
EDIT: Speaking of that, if you go to Nintendo's official MC website, you can actually "explore" it and find hidden "content" (like wallpapers for your desktop and such). Whenever you uncovered some content, it gets recorded on the site's "scroll", which you can look at and see what else you didn't get off the website. I've gotten to view and save most of the content, except that I'm missing one thing on the scroll, which I looked everywhere on the website for, and couldn't find it.
Oh yeah, and Elzo gives you nearly obvious hints if you're on a part of the website with content underneath the page.
