The graphics are amazing (you come to love the cel-shaded look, and get drawn in easily), awesome gameplay, albeit slightly simple. The overworld is vast and sailing always proves interesting for me, although it does get admittedly boring (thank God you can warp eventually…)…
And to this day, I still feel like crying whenever I play the Earth God’s Lyric…
Also…
THE FINAL BOSS IS TOTALLY ASTOUNDING!!!
=D
Playing the second quest is also great, as not only are Link and Aryll in different clothing (I so want Link’s pajamas XD) , you get some nice extras, including actually getting to know the dialogue given by those who spoke the Ancient Hyrulian tongue!
I have roughly eighty+ figures, 113 in all, although you do need a GBA to get one.
Overall, Wind Waker is an incredible game…

I need to go back and replay it. I collected a whole lot of trophies, too (but probably no where near as much as GL.)

Okay, I understand that the Cel-Shaded graphics may “put people off” of the game. But in all honesty, those graphics actually portray a sense of realism. Before you think that I’ve gone crazy, just consider the amount of detail that has gone to it.
I can’t really describe it, so forgive me, but let me assure you that those graphics are surprisingly difficult to pull off.

The reason why the Cel-Shaded look was chosen for Wind Waker, as I’m sure you know, was simply to match the story. What better way to portray a game centered around a young Link (who looks very good in pajamas XD)?
And just think about it- could you imagine the King of Red Lions with realistic graphics? The whole sea based theme really was perfectly represented with the cel-shaded approach.
But yeah, new Legend of Zelda is simply going to rock ;)

i just bought it and it's the best one I have
but I'm in the pirate ship for the second time and that's really frustrating :o
when you have to jump from one lantern to another how do you do that?
see the attachment for an image of the ship with the locations of the boxes and the lanterns

EDIT: Meh, go figure. I believed that there was a topic on this game created a long while ago, but I guess it was just MA's "friend's" topic. I apologize. You may continue.

Oh, sorry about that. A little more detail please Toasty, for instance did you get the item in the dungeon and what else is there in the room?

Try putting on the Iron Boots and pulling the red head with Link's hands, though that probably won't work. If it doesn't then you do need the Hookshot. I really can't remember where it is. I know you get it after the mini-boss battle and I THINK the mini-boss is at the bottom of the main room, the one with many floors and the huge hole in the middle which helps you get from floor to floor. Hope that helped.

Man, me and Raven were tight. XD
Anyways, I have changed my opinion since two years ago. The cel-shaded graphics don't matter anymore, I just want to get my hands on this game a.s.a.p.

But I find it wierd that Makar is the wind sage instead of Medly. On top of that, there's so many earth related things in the wind temple. I just find that odd.

But if you think about it, WW had five dungeons. Mabey they weren't temples, but they were dungeons.

Yeah, TWW has 5 dungeons, of which two are temples, but OOT has 8 dungeons, of which five are temples. There are also two mini dungeons, which are about half the size of a normal dungeon, but still have a map and compass like any other dungeon/temple.
