Ok, I don't go here any more, but I thought it would be nice to allow HTML in signatures again

I've pretty much had the same thoughts, but I believe that I can live without it. If you want, ask Agatio or Max on how to use HTML in your signature.

Max can allow it through the Admin CP. But it's not needed really. BB code can do what you need fine.

Oooh, you're nice. HTML would be great, though it probably won't happen for a while.

Edit: Read your apology, Agatio, now I understand.

            Let's not fight....

I wouldn't mind HTML in signatures, I always wanted something to go across the screen (<marquee> , </marquee>) in my signature.

Sorry, I'll edit that out. I posted it before my apology. My mistake. It would take 2 minutes, if that, to allow HTML in signatures. I'm sure if Max want to, he will, if not, he'll post here.

I don't really want to allow HTML in signatures, because almost anything you want to do should be do-able in BBCode. HTML code just allows for vulnerabilities that I would rather not worry about. If you give me some good examples of things that HTML would provide that BBCode doesn't for signatures, then maybe I'll reconsider.

                  BB code can:

                  -Make images as hyperlinks
                  -Make links
                  -Make images
-Make text bold, italic and underlined
-Make text different colours and font
                  -Make text different sizes

                  What else is needed really?

I have a couple of reasons for locking this ... but they're all acceptable.

                    1. This hasn't seen a reply for a long while now.
                    2. Agatio explained what the BB code allows, and which is fine by the forums' standards.
                    3. Max is right. HTML is capable of way too many things, and it can be used for hacking, as well. So, it's not very safe.
                    4. Hey ... this topic was left open for all the reasons listed above.

I hope you see my reasoning. You can re-open this if you see the need.
