Whether or not it is a Golden Sun entry is highly dubious (and doubtful), but it’s bound to uphold some features from both games for GBA. So yeah…

I've been waiting ages for a decent GC RPG.
If it's a GS one, uber-bonus points.

An entirely new title. 'Nuff said, it's not a Golden Sun game. But let me bring another point across before you fetch your pitchforks to run me out for saying that.
At the end of the second game, the Golden Sun was unleashed, right? Well, why would the next GS game be called Golden Sun? Why should the next game revolve around the Golden Sun? It probably wouldn't, so the title wouldn't need to be called Golden Sun. There have been cases where titles have changed, yet are still affiliated with their respective series. Take for example JRR Tolkiens works: The Hobbit, then The Lord of the Rings.
Everyone'll probably think I'm crazy to think that, but hey, at least I'm dreaming.
On the bottom line: I don't really think it's a GS game, but you never know.

Actually you've got a point, I think they just might change the tittle of the GS game and not call is GS3 or something, but still, hopefully there will be another GS game.

Not really. Just because the Golden Sun came up once doesn't mean it can't happen again. Also they could make new characters which could change the game completely. I do agree with you on what that quote means. Most likely this is a completely new game and has nothing to do with the GS story plot.

Yea but the hobbit then lord of the rings. The hobbit was just explaining the how the ring came to bilbo and that, where as you can't say that gs was explaining the origin and power of the golden sun. you wouldn't understand much playing the lost age then goldensun. where alot of people read lotr then the hobbit, or not the hobbit at all.
gs3, it is a bit unlikely, i think game boy's a bit done for. but gs3, i reckon it should take place maybe years later when the orignal characters are dead and someone has some evil goal because of years of spite or something.

There are already decent RPGs for the game cube. Tales of Symphonia for 1.
Yes there has been word of a new Golden Sun game for the Game Cube. It wont be released until late 2005 to 2006 which is a mighty long time IF they decide to create it. It's definitely a possibility that they will. They're planning on the idea currently. Though nobody knows if it will be a continuation from the last GS game GS:TLA or a remake of the whole saga. I'm betting my dollars that it'll be a whole new different story though. It'll be a waste if it was a remake.
Hopefully they will aprove and start getting to work. I'm definitely looking forward for it.
