Do you know of the icon that appears right next to the URL of a website right in the URL box? Usually, there are some websites that have an icon of their own, so ... why don't we have something like that? I mean, it's minor, but it could be interesting.

IIRC, you can only seem them in browsers that permit (NOT IE).

Firefox/Safari/Opera/Konqueror/etc

It's a good idea, but as other suggestions, GSW comes first.

A favicon would take a few minutes, just cut a little bit out of a sprite. I think you use CSS to put it up, though I'm not 100% sure.

Actally IE does display, but only when you add the site to favorites and then only 50% of the time. The HTML is:

Ahh ok. Thanks for the info.

In all my years of using IE, I've never seen a favicon at all (Including on google, and other websites I know have it).

If someone wants to do it, you will get a nice mention in a list of updates <_<

What do the dimensions have to be? And what kind of theme do you want? I could do one easily.

Yup, I though immediately an Issac sprite would be very fittin. I'll get started on it now.

When I first read this thread I didn't understand what you were talking about, but now I do. I had a favicon made up for GSS awhile ago, which looks similar to Agatio's but is somewhat nicer IMO. Nevertheless, I don't really see why we need one with Isaac or any other GS character. I think it would be better if a pixel artist could make us one with the GSSF letters, although I imagine that would be hard.

I agree, making any image 16x16px and still look good is hard.
If GSS had an actual logo, you could shrink that, but we don'ty.
