I don't like any bands. I only like specific songs. If Michael Jackson made a good song, I would listen to it. If the most famous band in the world made a cruddy song, I would ignore it.

*Does a jig*
Pardon me, your epidermis is showing, sir
I couldn’t help but note your shade of melanin
I tip my hat to the colorful arrangement
Cause I see the beauty in the tones of our skin
Pardon me, your epidermis is showing, sir
I couldn’t help but note your shade of melanin
I tip my hat to the colorful arrangement
Cause I see the beauty in the tones of our skin
We’ve gotta come together
And thank the maker of us all
(chorus)
We’re colored people, and we live in a tainted place
We’re colored people, and they call us the human race
We’ve got a history so full of mistakes
And we are colored people who depend on a holy grace
A piece of canvas is only the beginning for
It takes on character with every loving stroke
This thing of beauty is the passion of an artist’s heart
By god’s design, we are a skin kaleidoscope
We’ve gotta come together,
Aren’t we all human after all?
(repeat chorus)
Ignorance has wronged some races
And vengeance is the lord’s
If we aspire to share this space
Repentance is the cure
Well, just a day in the shoes of a color blind man
Should make it easy for you to see
That these diverse tones do more than cover our bones
As a part of our anatomy
(repeat chorus)
We’re colored people, and they call us the human race
[oh, colored people]
We’re colored people, and we all gotta share this space
[yeah we’ve got to come together somehow]
We’re colored people, and we live in a tainted world
[red and yellow, black and white]
We’re colored people, every man, woman, boy, and girl
[colored people, colored people, colored people, colored people, yeah]

I completely forgot HOLY SOLDIER. One of the greatest heavy metal bands EVER. Here is a song called "See No Evil." Try and figure out what it means. I know what it means, if you can, then neato.
SEE NO EVIL: By Holy Soldier
I FLOAT INSIDE HER WOMB
OH MOTHER, I AM COMING SOON
SUDDENLY, FEAR AND DREAD
WHEN MOTHER SAYS SHE WANTS ME DEAD
OH HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO ME?
(PRE CHORUS:)
THOUSANDS COME (child-like voices)
PLEASE DON`T KILL ME
THOUSANDS GO (child-like voices)
I WANT TO LIVE
DAY BY DAY (child-like voices)
CAN ANYONE HEAR ME?
THE NUMBERS GROW (child-like voices)
I WANT TO LIVE
(CHORUS:)
GOD HEARS THEM CRY
WE HEAR THE LIE
AND WE SIMPLY LOOK THE OTHER WAY
(CHORUS:)
SEE NO EVIL
HEAR NO EVIL
SPEAK NO EVIL
FROM A PAIL WITH OPEN EYES
I SEE THE MAN THAT I DESPISE
HE LOOKS AT ME AND TURNS HIS BACK
AS MY LIFE FADES; IT FADES TO BLACK
AND THERE'S NO TURNING BACK
(PRE CHORUS:)
(CHORUS:)
(MOMMY, CAN YOU HEAR ME?)
(MOMMY, MOMMY, I'M AFRAID)
SEE NO EVIL
HEAR NO EVIL
SPEAK NO EVIL

Why do you find it worse anyways?
They swear less, and have a more positive outlook than someone like Slipknot.
And note, most of the stuff you hear on TV isn't even 1/4 of the good stuff Hip-Hop has to offer.

Also, I hate Rap. Period. End of Story. Why? Because it influences Drugs, Premarital Sex, Violence, and all sorts of loads of crap.
#40

I don't want another fight like the one with darksun so I will state my point clearly.
I hate the style of music. Why? Because it is weak, the people can't even play instruments, and that is my main argument. I see musicians as people who can sing or play an instrument, properly. That is why I dislike/hate urban, r&b, rap, techno and pop, because they are not musicians. The music is made on a computer in the producers office proabably. The "Artists" are just tools of marketing who are used to make money for big recording companys.
So the reason I prefer heavier stuff like rock, punk, metal etc. Is because it is the opposite, (plus Urban etc. people don't even write their own songs, and often never even release an album, it's true.) they can play instruments and sing etc. so they are the real musicians.
I don't respect Urban artists because they make make more money (probably) than metal musicians and they don't work nearly as hard, if at all, for it. I can respect Jazz and classical etc. (even If I don't particularily (spelling?) like that style of music) purely because they can write songs and play instruments.
I only have a little respect for the producers of Urban because they can produce these "perfect" 3 min pop songs and pacjage them so they make millions despite how little work goes into them and even then it's very, very little respect.
Please don't come back at this statement
1. Becasue I have plenty more reasons why rap, r&b, urban etc. is crap.
2. Because it's true.

I hate rap too, but this is your favorite artists and bands, not why you hate music or which music is heavier.
My favorite artist is Utada Hikaru... Or was it Hikaru Utada? I don't know... I think English it's the latter, and for Japanese, the former.

I think you might mean tourniquet (i don't think I spelt it right either)
and tourniquet is something you tie around your arm to stop the blood flow and cause the limb to fall off.
(to quote a death metal band "I'm gonna tie a tourniquet around my neck")
But anyways. I kinda like linkin park, I don't think they are the greatest musicians around but I like the sound they make so yeah.
