Anywhoo, yes, by comparison, this game is pretty old, and a majority of you probably don't give a flip anymore. But ANYWAYS; I just realized that this game existed (well, not really, but I finally decided to work up the courage and give it a try) and so far, it seems pretty good, graphics-wise, gameplay-wise, sound, etc. I just wanna' know of your experiences with this game; your opinions, fave. characters or vehicles, anything interesting you want to discuss.
Please note: You could go as far to discuss F-Zero Maximum Velocity, or any other F-Zero games too, if you wish, but I imagine that GX is the most popular for the time being.

Now, that having been said, it is also an EXTREMELY difficult game. Honestly, it is as if you need to memorize the tracks to win, as the computer AI is unforgiving. Perhaps it is just me and my lackluster racing skills...
Not to mention the control scheme is somewhat... unresponsive. I can't use Spin Attacks, and even with a high grip-rated vehicle, handling is still quite difficult.
So, all in all, a great racing game (excellent graphics/sound,decent story mode, customization, racing against your own "ghosts", etc.), but be prepared for a frustrating ride. GET IT, RIDE? HA HA HA!... B)

it is very hard, especially on the highest setting. Funny though, the absolutely final track where you have to beat the staff ghost, it kept falling off over and over and it took me about 20 attempts on "hard". I decided to go straight into it on "very hard" and did it first time o.o

But this game IS really fun, never mind the difficulty. Even before I got it today I had played it numerous times.
On a GX note, what kind of original machines have you guys made so far?

i didnt like Max Velocity that much FGX, it just seemed to be way to difficult to get the hang of. But then i never owned it. A new GBA one..i don't think i'd buy it - i stick to mjor consoles for all but rpgs really. And besides, dont you find that you ncan only really be good at ONE F Zero game? I went back to F Zero X (N64) after having played this one for ages and i was hopeless^^

That game for me is probably MV. I only rented GX (but it was still fun enough to warrant its own topic), and I was pathetic. Potentially a really fun game, but Story Mode is nearly impossible for me. Max Velocity is pretty simple, with only a handful of machines, but a whole shiatload of stages.
