So far from what I have seen it's only Mario, Luigi and Peach that are in the game.(Hopefully) I hope that all. I want an NBA game with NBA player not Mario characters. Nintendo can go and make it's own NBA Basketball game with it's own Mario characters. Anyways this is only for the Gamecube addition not for the Xbox and PS2.

Personally, it interests me that they're putting Mario on a popular arcady basketball game (although I don't appreciate basketball), since, going back on what VD21 says, you need to jump to be able to get the ball in the hoop. With that, I'm pretty sure the Mario team has their own set of unique dunking moves.

Agreed.
If you cry and whine about how Mario is in V3, it's not gonna do you any good, seeing how you can easily avoid even playing as the team. It's the same reason why I didn't like Duel Masters starting to share the MegaMan Battle Network series, but if you can avoid it, there won't be any trouble.

Just wondering if you have this game yet?
I couldn't pick up this game at my local store....it was sold out. Also I am wondering if anyone has had the chance to play it yet, on any of the consoles.
