I downloaded the Map Editor and tested some things out and I tried to save it.
How do you load and save?
I clicked: "Open existing map" and then I typed XML/test.xml
test.xml is in the same map as the GSW:ME.
Also: can you make the rooms for the houses or do we only have to make the town map?
    Thanks :(

You should have an "XML" folder inside of your GSW Map Editor folder, in which should be test.xml and itemlist.xml.

If you had taken the time to read either my news post OR the readme included with the game you would know how to save, but I'll fill you in here: You click "Save Current Map" on the left-most tab, and then you copy the text from the console into a text file and save the text file as .xml.

You only have to do the town map, not the rooms for inside the house.

Thanks, I read the readme and your posts though.
But now I have another problem.
When I try to save this message comes up: "A script in this movie is causing Macromedia Flash Player 7 to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?" If I click yes the program crashes and I can't click. If I click no, I can continue working but when I try to save it the message comes up again...
What do I have to do?

Hm, that is an odd problem GohanDuo... Would you mind posting the specs for your computer (brand, operating system, etc.)? And also, does that happen with every type of map you do or only certain types of map?

Well I don't always have the problem.
It's when I'm working long on a map.

On the GSW map Editor, I am having a lot of problems. I dont see a Menu (File, View, etc.). Also, the bottom part of the screen is not big enough. I cannot access anything.

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. If I have too many tiles on screen, it freezes up with that same error screen.

switch the bar underneath the name bar when saving it from txt to all files, then add .xml to the end of the file's name before saving it. And, no, the map contest isn't really over, in fact it's very open, or Max would have closed the map submissions topic. Honest, keep making original maps!
