I have, since half a year, windows XP on both my C and D drive. it's verry annoying, because everytime I reboot my pc, I have to chose which XP I want to use etc.
Now I want to delete the XP from my C drive. but does anyone knows how to do that save, without deleting any other programs?

I think if you went into your registry and just found "XP on the C drive" or something along those lines then it may give you the option to just delete it on there without removing XP in general. Always a risky thing to do though incase you delete something important. I would wait for people who actually know what they're talking about to answer though as im not sure about it. I've done similar stuff before though.

Going into the D drive's registry won't do crap. They're both individual OS's, and either can load on boot. Congratulations, you've made your first dual-boot system.

Anyway, the only way I know to get rid of an OS without installing another is a drive format. Unfortunately, that mean's you've gotta copy all your stuff to another HDD or burn a bunch of CDs or DVDs.

well, both drives only have 4Gb space left, and im broke, so no DVD's or Cd's. I guess I'll just have to leave it this way. because I dont think it will really cause any problems except it's quite annoying.

i think deleting an OS on C drive will screw ur computer, just cause that is the "main Drive"

you can always go into setup, at boot, F2 or F4 dont remember, and say boot options, and choose what to boot to so u dont choose.

If it makes you feel any better, I have a dual-boot system too.
I have to choose between Window and Suse everytime the system starts up.

This is slightly off-topic, but I had an old laptop that was a dual-boot. Had Windows 95 and 98 on there, but it always gave me the option of pressing a button before it asked me which to boot from.

Windows is wierd as hell. You get used to it, though.

OS choices are done from the BIOS settings on your motherboard, until you select the OS, the OS doesn't load.

So, Kemosabi, it's your motherboard thats crazy as hell.

I don't think Kemo was balming the dual-booting on Windows. I think he switched to Windows from something else and was pointing out that it's wierd to someone not used to it.
