But yes, the main character is a mercenary named Ike, and is proceeding quite nicely. It looks fantastic!

Second: Sacred Stones is Fire Emblem Eight, to be released for Game Boy in June.
Third (Basically the same as second): Souen No Kiseki is the name of Fire Emblem 9, coming to the Game Cube in November, or that's the latest they say.
CBK: It's not coming in the summer! The best they say is November! ._.
You're thinking of Fire Emblem 8: Seima No Kouseki, coming to American and European stores in June 2005.
The story line of this game is:
A young man named Ike, son of the leader of a band of mercenaries is living around the castle of ____ (I forget the name). One day he is out in the woods, when he stumbles into some thugs trying to kidnap some lady, he beats them, saving the girl, who turns out to be the princess of the castle. She asks Ike to escort her to _____ (I forget this name, too.), Ike accepts, the game begins. o.o;

Dunno about the gameplay yet though, all they've shown so far is screenshots and a few character pics and story briefs.

Ike hasn't been in any games before. And, yes, of course he's the lord of this game. o.o;
"How would they do it though? The same layout as the GBA just with better graphics? I think they could potentially pull off something quite special so i hope they make the effort."
It's alot like the same lay out as Fire Emblem: Blazing sword, Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals, and Fire Emblem: Sacred stones. You have the grid, and you have the whole 'move a certain amount of spaces per turn', the ability menu for 'attack', 'item', 'trade', and the sort. Also, instead of cut scenes, they will just show the person attacking. The stat pages are pretty cool, except they're be hard to customize.

That's the English way to call them. Their true names are the ones PiersDM was speaking of.
Fire Emblem: Souen no Kiseki is orignally referred to as FE9, which is the GameCube version. Fire Emblem: Seima no Kouseki is referred to as FE8, which is the upcoming Game Boy Advance version.
If you still think otherwise, then that's fine, but be wary that BLL will hunt you down. >>;
