    Well, are Apple Macintosh Monitors conpatible with Windows computers? Just wondering, because I may want one.

      Yes, they most definately are. All new Macintosh monitors use DVI (digital video input) which is compatible with almost all Windows computerse. If it uses a different type of connector, then they almost surely sell an adapter with it (but looking through the Apple Store, I don't think that will be the case).

      Mac displays are some of the nicest displays I've seen, just a tad on the expensive side.

        Macs are very expensive (both computers, ipods, you name it). I have found that they are high-quality compared to some of the pc brands that seem to pop out every other day.

          Compared to established, respected brands, however, there's little to distinguish Apple monitors. For the same price as the Apple 23" Cinema HD, you can get the Sony 23" PremierPro, both of which are quite similar in quality.

            Bit when you think about it, Sony dosent have quite a good rep in the 'quality' section. Alot of its stuff tends to break easily. : \
            @Gimli: Which monitor are you planning to get?

              Their optical media burners are cheap crap (with the exception of the first few DRU models) and their PCs are really weak for something that way overpriced, among other things, but their monitors are pretty good.

                Well Kite, I'll probably get an eMac, it'll probably fit the best in the space where my computer monitor is, though I wish I could get an iMac, but its too expensive, and I don't think it will fit in the tight space where myComputer monitor is.. So I guess the eMac will be the best for me. (BTW- Is that the monitor that can have different colors on the sideplates? Because I've seen that one alot, and they look cool. Plus, I do recognize the eMac's shape, and I suspect it is the Mac monitor that I see alot.)

                Oh yeah, just to let you know, I just want a Mac monitor, not a Mac computer. (I need to use windows because my dad knows programming only for windows. Not that he works on my computer, but I just think that he doesn't want to get Macintosh programming and Windows programming mixed up.)

                  Gimli, that last post of yours is conflicting information. First you say you want to get an eMac, which is an entire computer built into a screen, and then you say you just want a monitor, which would be completely different. What exactly are you interested in?

                  eMac:

                  Apple Display/Monitor:

                    Oh, sorry, I thought the eMac was just a type of moniter. ^_^ I got mixed up. Sorry

                    But, the links don't work. O_O;;

                    EDIT: Nvm, I realized that Apple doesn't make computers the way I thought they did, I was just told by Max in an MSNM convo that Apple puts the computer parts inside the monitor. Shoot! Ah well, this can be closed.
