Sorry if this isn't allowed, but, I really need to ask this.

Whenever you record streaming video from a ROM, there's many types of compressing programs for AVI recording installed on the VBA. Though, I've tried all of them, I'm not really sure if they're "practical". See, I'm trying to record videos for my upcoming Riviera site, and I'm trying to find out what compressor is best/better for others to view, other than myself.

If you can help me, I'd appreciate it. If not, I'm glad you at least tried. If this topic is against the rules, then close it and PM me if you do have an answer.

DivX is the best compressor out there. I suggest that.

I know that, but ... I mean, when you AVI record, you'll have to choose between DivX and other compressors.

First off, the proper term is "codec."

Second, XviD produces the smallest files for any given quality, followed by DivX, followed by WMV. If you're making a site, the best would be the smallest files possible within a reasonable quality, so that you wouldn't push your bandwidth, annoy 56K'ers, or force your views to suffer through crappy video.

So, in other words, I'll be better off using DivX? Thanks.
