No, there is not going to be a re-release of the game it's self.

It seems there is going to be an Advent Children game, but unfortunately there's no actualy footage, screenshots etc. yet.

I think they will release it after the movie, for several obvious reasons.

Good question, I'm sure they hav released that info somewhere, check the official site. Or maybe it's too early to have released it, knowing Square though, they will find the right people for the voice overs.

I actually hope they don't re-record the voices into English (which of course, they will, the bakas) because I've heard the Japanese voices and they sound really good. I would hate to see it dubbed. I think to see the characters that I love so much talking in English would disturb me ... don't ask me why, but it would.

Still, I can't wait for it!! =D

You may not agree on this, but I belive in most cases this is true; when you watch something in say English for the first time, if you watch the same thing in japanese it will feel odd and cheap. The same goes the other way around. For example I watched Evangelion in English and it rocked, the Japanese wasn't as interesting. But I watched Love Hina in Japanese and the English dubbing seemed so awful to me.

This isn't just about the dubbing though, when something changes, your view on it might change too. That is the biggest problem. For example when you read a LOTR or Harry Potter book you have to IMAGINE what that monster/character looks like, and then imagined image stays with that character all throughout the book, but then they make a film and you think "That's nothing like what I had imagined him/her/it to look like" and your dreams are kinda shattered lol

Has anyone got any theories on the person in the wheelchair with the white robe? At first I thought it was Sephiroth, then someone tried to convince me it was Jenova/Lucrecia, and now I'm fairly certain it's Rufus. But it's only my speculations, I'm not spoiling it or anything.

hmm, wheelchair guy.... No idea. But white heaired guy likes him - so he's bad. This can be solved mathematically:
Wheel chair guy + White haired guy = freinds
White haired guy = bad guy
So;
Wheel chair guy = bad guy
And since:
Sephiroth = Definition of Badassness
We can assume:
Sephiroth = Wheel chair guy
Therefore, from the process of elimination, wheelchair guy is Sephiroth. In my opinion.

LMAO XD Actually, I can see the pimp thing. There always was something about that guy ...

Anyway, I think it could be Rufus because :

1) People assumed he was dead, but it was never actually confirmed and in the FMV sequence all he did was keel over ... he may have just fainted.

2) If he's covered in a robe, then that might mean that he's now hideously deformed and does not want to show off the injuries he sustained when the Weapon attacked Shinra HQ. We all know how proud Rufus is.

3) Same goes for the wheel-chair, he may have been horrendously injured.

4) He's Rufus, he's the type of character who doesn't die easily and will always pop up somewhere in sequels to annoy people.

5) If you look closely under the hood you can see the bottom of his face, and it certainly looked like a Rufus-like mouth and chin.

6) If he's no longer President (let's safely assume that Shinra no longer exists as an organisation) then he's going incognito! He has a rubbish wheel-chair and covers himself up with a hood and robe! The perfect disguise.

You know it makes sense people.

Oh yeah, another theory was that it was Hojo, but I doubt that somehow. *keeps fingers crossed it isn't Hojo*

Holy crap. I should of got this ALONG time ago. After watching it (in Japanese with subtitles *urgh*) I now realise the meaning of life.

The fight scences within the movie are the absolute BEST I have ever seen. (Disregarding my crappy graphic's card and it's wholesome ability to make it look like pixels are moving aound)

Well, after watching the film like 30 times I can say I really enjoyed it. Loved the fight scenes, liked the story even though it was basically FF7's storyline repeating itself 2 years later. Bad guy who isn't truly evil, just confused emerges from nowhere, bad guy is really strong and kicks lots of ass but wants to get Jenova to destroy the world, final battle with bad guy, it's nearly identical.

Yes, I watched AC for the first time just last Thursday and I must say, it's an excellent movie. I particularly like the fight scenes and the music that complements those scenes. The movie itself is a little too dark for me, however.

Yeah. All the fight scene's have great music. My favourite would definetly be the bike scene where cloud take on Loz and Yazoo in the tunnel. Then Reno and Rude blow the **** out of them. That was bone chillingly fantastic.

bought my self the boxset on ebay for £11 which contains Advent Children, Last Order (another ff film) and the two disc ost, still waiting for it though

I got the two-disc special edition a few months ago, absolutely loved it.

The movie itself has spectacular graphics, though the story is slightly... well, not really there. The whole thing with Karaj turning to Sephiroth was undeniably cool, but I disliked how halfway through the movie, all the characters from FFVII just appeared and started attacking the huge monster, from out of nowhere.

That said, the battle with Sephiroth was truly phenomenal. Rock version of Advent Children, anyone? ;)

Advent Children was the bomb. I loved the music and the story and the constant use of memories. Bahamut was nicely done too. Did anybody watch the making of it on the DVD?

The soundtrack rocks too. Best song: CALLING.

I just got the DVD for Christmas. I watched part of the Making. Couldn't finish it, but I will later. I really liked the movie in the long run. Really entertaining. The action in the movie was stunning, I really enjoyed that. The humor was good as well.

Just to entertain myself, I flipped between the English and Japanese audio so that some characters were speaking Japanese and others were speaking English. What a multicultural world it is X)

If you watch the movie closely, you'll realize that nobody in that movie ever bleeds. Even when Tifa got smacked with a church pew. The only two times somebody bled was when Cloud got shot and it didn't even scar, and when he got shot in the end again.

Both those times were Cloud. Poor guy.

His sunglasses are seemingly bulletproof, apparently. Although, I think it does scar. I saw a bit of a scar during the battle against Bahamut. And when I watched one of the scenes in the Reminiscence of Final Fantasy VII, Cloud bled in that exact same place before.

When Cloud pulls the Masamune from his shoulder, for a second's worth of frames, there's blood on the tip. It gets shaken off (seemingly).

I know. Poor little Cloudy. The most moving part, for me, was when Cloud ACTUALLY smiled. I don't know if it was because of Aerith [who I ultimately hate] or because it was a spur of the moment.

My favorite part of the movie was the motorcycle chase when cloud was after them for Jenova's head. That was the best scene ever.

I liked the movie better in Japanese with subs, but maybe because I watched that one before the English version.
