Ok, my new site is almost done, and I want to know...

-What types of advertising actually helps for websites?
-What is the cost of the best places to advertise?

Any ideas on it?

well u can start by advertising here and or going to chat rooms. Then affiliating with other similar sites and them affiliating wtih you will help alot, getting something really popular up on your site that you made and posting it somewhere on another popular site should get it going.

Yeah, I'm going to affilaite with, hopefully, FFonline and FFshrine, that'll boost my popularity up a bit. But posting here really doesn't help, I know, because my old bladedfury, well, it had people coming, but they would post a few times, and then say they were busy, but posted ALOT here...

but ya what version of FF is it that ur doing a site on?

Almost all of them (ff1-10-2 plus T, TA, and Origins), but this isn't the place to discuss it, that's kinda advertising... But I will hopefully get advertising with all the major search engines, that may help, ya think?

ya, if U add a FFXI section u can get ur site on the FFXI site, my friend did that and he got tons of traffic from that, unfortunatly he couldnt pay for the site anymore

Bah, I never played it before. I do only the one's I've played, and some of the minor ones.

Any one know a place where I can submit advertising registrations that actually help (besides search engines)?
