Last night, everything on FireFox (skins, bookmarks, extensions, plugins, you name it.) somehow got deleted on my mom's computer, and I don't know the cause. Has this happened to anyone else, and if it has, do you know what caused this?
Thank-you in advance to all who will help me on this.

Actually, Nobody, this happens to me regularly. It happens about once a month, what I just do, is re-do all the favorites.

Well, if its not just me, this is likely to happen when you close Firefox when its non-responsive or if you close it when a popup that says "Firefox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." If the user profiles window for Firefox pops up when you try to access it after that happened, it means that this error ocured. To prevent it from deleting your preferences, just log off and log back on or reboot the computer.

In the Firefox folder (Program Files/Mozilla Firefox) there is a file called 'browserconfig.properties' which I believe holds all the information for your browser (User settings). That may be getting erased somehow (same for your favourites/extensions).

Check out the mozilla support boards.
