Well, you know how topics are sorted by the date/time of the last post? I think that topics in the Site news, GSW Announcements, and the Forum Announcement should be ordered by the date the topic was made; it would solve the problem that would happen if an old news topic was bumped.
Anyone agree on this?

Thats actually a very good idea.
Perhaps making it so posts don't bump a topic or something?
I'm sure it can be done somehow.

Yeah that is a good idea - however, wouldnt that have a negative effect on the "view new posts" button? Im not saying it would for definate but it might. I use that button a lot as its quick way to see if anything worth posting in appeared.

How would it affect the new posts button?
New posts would still be there, but the topic would not move to the top of the list. It's just an easier way of showing the latest news. Because is someone bumps a topic from a few weeks ago, people might think thats the latest news or something.

Agatio, that is exactly what I was thinking when I made this topic! Good to know that someone can understand what I'm typing.

Hm, this is an interesting idea. I didn't even know that this was possible, but I just checked in the admin control panel and it is in fact doable. I'll talk to Nick about it and we'll post our decision.

Max, I know we didn't discuss it, but I made the change since I've always thought it was a good idea...
