I definetly think so. I think it should be cleaned atleast every week, it shouldn't be left to gather 47 000+ posts, that's for sure.

I don't want this to turn into another "I hate the spam forum thread", because god knows we've had plenty enough of those. But I do agree, there should be a more strict prune setting applies, because 47,000 posts is way to much, by anyone's standards.

I agree, thousands of those posts will never be replied to, no point in them being there.

I agree with exactly what everyone else in this topic has said. It takes up a lot of space in the database.

The spam forum has been reduced down to 33000 posts.
And while that seems like a lot, that doesn't take up a massive amount in any database.

Man, it's SPAM, it's NOT important.
I think we could stand to lose 30,000 pointless, annoying, random, unfunny messages.

I trimmed all topics that haven't been posted in in a week, and 33,000 were left over. I'll try various prune settings over the next few days until I find a managable number.

just erase the entire forum. Who honestly needs to read all 70000 pages of the random topic? It's all the same garbage over and over. It's random crap, so starting anew topic would make no difference.

And it's the same for every other spam topic.

Well, think about it. GSSF without a Spam forum would induce a lot of tempermental issues, seriously. I mean, people go there to either blow off steam or just have fun. And what good is a forum without any fun?

I don't think anyone's particularly interested in what people said on the 342nd page of a 891 page long topic :\.

Only a few topics are worth keeping. I doubt anyone woud care if the others were deleted.

Ya, the only thing they should be mad at is if their real post count decreased, like, you should be proud that you have 4000 + posts, not is you have 5000+ Spam posts.

In the end it's just a number, but it's kinda nice to have a high one, outside the spam forum of course. I don't see any reason to proud of having 5000 pointless posts.
