Custom Looks Custom looks?

Hey I've seen this done before and I was wondering if it is possible in GSAR.
GSAR I know is set up quite different from other things like this but would it be possible to change what you look like?
I know you have to choose your person online (over the internet), but in-game could you make a shop that have different clothing and stuff? Then after you change your looks you click a save or send button that will send the information to the server.
Sort of like the Map Maker thing, only instead of not doing anything with the information make it output to the mysql server or whatever your using, clothing like layers or something.

first off, this is GSW, and second, no, Max won't do that now because its only a few minutes until the next server test. In the long run, I can only think of one clothing atricle max should have for changing, and that would be a cape. Aside from that, it would get WAY too complicated.

Making just one extra pice of clothing would require, 8 new sprites? I think thats about right. SO image a shop with 20 items of clothing, I highly doubt Max will implement this, and is there any real need?

4 actually. only 3 for the unimportant sprites :D.
But yes. Far too much work for such a trivial thing. Maybe if someone wanted to sit back and make millions of different sprite sets...

:D
Actually, Piers Diamondberg Master probably wants to do it. He's good at custom sprites.

But we have to commend you for taking the time to do all of that. I noticed also that there a few sprites there that are not in the game currently. Perhaps for the beta release?

Possibly, but probably not. Max wants to limit playable characters to major characters, so, the only person I can think of that might be added to the Beta is Hamma, but, aside from that, no one else is really a major enough NPC, and even Hamma might not make it in as playable. Max does hope to include many as NPCs though, possibly moving NPCs.
Beleive it or not there are 10 characters up there that can be playable, but they aren't major enough of characters(Max doesn't want people being squids and parrots, beleive it or not :P, so we won't get to play all of them).

Well, i was thinkng Susa. But he is probably just as unimportant as Hamma.
The Great Healer may be a good one, but we already have one ancient character. XD

As Blink said, I'd like to limit the playable character pool to just major characters. I think we will probably add the major NPCs like Hamma, Susa, Sunshine, Babi, and others of equivalent status. However, I'd like to leave a large selection of move-able characters available for use in mini-games or other non-player-controlled events.

ehhh....the idea of Djinni is still up in the air. Mods might be able to use them, but maybe not. You might see them, but I doubt most of us will play them.

Now there's an idea. Member-mods can choose to change their sprite to a djinn mid-game. Of course, the djinn would be affected by the sprite(ie Felix-Venus Djinn, Menardi-Mars Djinn, Kraden-... err... Oldman djinn..??) But, hey. I'm just brainstorming.
