I place myself as Ambidextrous. As with most people, it is far easier for me to use my right hand (a fact that has always frustrated me). All my life, I’ve tried to “convert” to being left-handed, and I now use it, instinctively, for simple things (picking up items, opening doors, etc. When I concentrate, I can write… somewhat legibly with it).

yeah but then people come up with this stuff all the time "geater intellectual capacity" and such. It will be relative, ie more left handers are intelligent as a percentage compared with right handers, but overall there will probably be more right handers intelligent then left. Also, if what you say about making yourself ambidextrous is true then that means that anyone can learn to be left handed and so its not really linked with with intellect.

Ravenblade, I doubt my "left-handedness" will ever be PURELY instinctual. Like I said, I am only able to carry out simple, basic actions with my left hand. Techniques that require, say, intellectual concentration, such as writing, is really impossible, as I simply did not develop it as a young person.

although I voted right-handed by accident, I am actually Ambidextrous, as I write with my right hand (sometimes left), but when I fight (very very rare, cause there are bullies at school), I use my left hand to block, and hit. since my left hand is a bit stronger then my right. I also almost type everything with my left hand. picking up things are switched by left and right hand.

yeah, but there's also a statistic that left-handed people die sooner on average (it's true!)

anyway, I've also trained myself to be ambidextrous, though I was originally right-handed. I am stronger with my right hand at just about everything, but my left hand is catching up. I write half of my notes in school with my left hand (you can really tell) but my writing is getting much better!

diddy it means that your right and left aren't as good as one another. i'm right in most things, sometimes i can do some sport better with my left(golf,cricket) i can write with my TEETH better then my left. but in snowboarding i'm not really goofy stance or normal stance. i perfer my right in most things. but it doesn't really bother me. i'm training my left to throw stuff better since i love throwing stuff.

So do I. If you mean like catching a kickball, I have trouble, regardless of the hand. I use my left hand for typing, lifting things (if it requires two hands), and other things the require two hands. I rarely use it alone.

If you mean the left/arm hand being physically stronger, and the right being used to write (talk about homonyms XD), that's common. Because for example, in a grocery shop, they'll use the left to carry thier load the the right to sign something. That's what my science teacher told me in 4th grade when we were studying something like this.

ambi -whatever- means equally good with both hands so you can't really say that your ambidextrous if you use your right hand for veerything and your left hand for just one thing also you gotta be just as good with both hands like I said before.

It may be genetic but you can really become ambidextrous if you try hard enough :O That's what I did.

And that's what my grandfather had to do. Back in his time, it wasn't really "accepted" to be left-handed because it was considered weird so, they taught him to write with the right hand and he eventually became ambidextrous.

My left hand has virtually no articulation at all. Doesn't do a thing it's told.
But it's weird. Left hand works fine on the strings when I'm playing my guitar or my bass.

Well, I am right handed, and it's obviously my stronger hand. My left leg, on the other hand (no pun intended), is the one I use most for kicking and jump-starting a sprint. My right leg is a lot more of an anchor leg, to balance me out when, say performing midair spinning kicks. My left is actually more flexibe, too.
