I may get new internet, we have been splitting the check with the neighbor and sharing but now we want to get our own, but verizon(the one we use) is $30 so we are going to upgrade to Comcast for only $10 more and it downloads like 5x faster XDDDD
we used to have comcast but thats cause my moms work payed for it, and it downloads at 450-600k/sec XD

just cause u connect at 100MB dont mean u download at that speed, no internet is that fast, at least none that are available to public, maybe like super secret cops or something have it who knows o.O

Standard for most computers are 100MB unless its wireless, and my new comp will be 1GB, so it depends on your ethernet port. anyways ya, if i ever get my new comp, my dad said not yet even though I saved up and have enough <<

Depending on traffic on your cable line, you can get up to 4MBs/second surfing speed and 1MBs/second download. It's flippin' insane, and I'm glad I have it.

I actually downloaded from a host(its gone now used to be www.super5.com) but ya i downloaded at 1.5MB i downloaded a 700MB thing in like what 2 min?!

UGH! I have sooooo much internet traffic it's unbelivable! A 700MB thing...WAAAAAAY out of my connection's leauge... I mean a 700 MB thing for me would take around 20-24 hours T_T

Cox High Speed (not sure if you people outside the US can get it though) is pretty fast; the name speaks for itself (I use it :)). I think it's about 670-800kb/second download speed, but I'm not sure of the exact speed. Most pages load in a matter of seconds for me, so I'd estimate a 3.25MB+ surfing speed. Like I said, the name speaks for itself.

But my neighbour who lives 30 meters from me can have DSL.. It sucks!

But we ar planning to lay a fiber optic cable, so we can get 4mbs.. : o

I have a 512Kbit/s download with 200Kbit/s upload. I would bug my dad to upgrade, but now all the packages come with a download limit which we don't have since we bought broadband when it first came out in the UK.

Also the current speed limit in my area is 2Mbit/s, sucks. BT are lagging the UK behind in internet connections.

oh ya thats the problem, with new internet the upload and download switch, the one i have now is like 120k/sec download and 450k/sec upload but the new one is switched 120upload and 450download <<

I realized that provider didn't increase my connection speed, it was just some fault in limits. I had 1mbps for two days, but now i'm back again on 256 kbps. :P

ours updgraded our speed to about 170k instead of 100k download, but ya, I doubt we will be upgrading to comcast anytime soon but once we do it will rule all ^^

Highest download speed I can get is like 100k second. I'm fine with it though anyway.
