I am thinking of making an Online RPG in C++ text based o.O, text based because it takes less bandwidth and I dont know how to do graphical online RPG XD...Anyways Ideas are welcome and it will be kinda a long ONline rpg, when online I hope to have different worlds, and u can only commute to people in the world your on, u can trade and send "email" to each other but no chat sorry :S and u can battle eachother, how the battle system will work im not sure but there will be a way, I WILL FIND A WAY O_O!
I will try to make it so there are lots of weapons u can have and diff potions and stuff, there will be random battles, i guess during travel between towns it will be random of how many battles u run into...

btw the chat thing may come in a later version its just it would take a while to do it...I will work on it this weekend and hope to have a small thing like sign up and email bakc and forth with eachother, anyways please give suggestions or stuff ^^

Last I checked you can't use C++ for online games, you either use Perl, PHP, JSP/Java or ASP and connect to a database like MySQL, mSQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle.

hehehe, seriously, flash is your friend. Find a tutorial on making Flash read databases and stuff and you're all set :).
And maybe Max and AveneR could help you since they obviously know what they're doing :D.


...and it might also help to actually know how to use flash :P
oh, and having a copy would help too :o

I sometimes post at OnRPG XD, anyways ya maybe doing it in flash would be cool...I have FMX2004 so I might as well...*looks at tutorials* seems easy enough...
