i think you should be able to use magic in golden sun world. that would be so cool you could teleport, cyclone or maybe even move.

Well obviously that would be cool, but it'd be darn hard to pull off and everyone would insist on doing it all the time..it could get annoying. Can you imagine people teleporting all over the map? Using move and stuff maybe though...i just think its a tad too ambitious XD

I think things like mind read for viewing profiles or a teleport to move between areas or something would be fine.
There won't really be any need for move or similar abilities.

I talked to Max a bit about this before, and it really depends on the situation. Something Max has been thinking about using now is Psynergy(the magic in golden sun) when someone is kicked from the game. It's not final, but he certainly agrees that it would add a whole lot to the feel of the game.

have puddles in areas that you could use frost on or a mini game dedicated to magic attack on a certain objects.

I like the idea of having Psynergy though, but as Raven said, it would be hard to do.

I think the Mind Read could also be used as an "away message", to add on to what someone already said (someone reads your away message if you have one by reading your mind). Halt could be used on stalkers (obviously only by mods) as a warning so that they stop for a set amount of time. Teleport could be used to get out/in a building from anywhere. The rest of the psynergy can be used on mini-games that use the "standard" GSW screen (I hope you know what I meant by that). Teleport could be used to get out/in a building from anywhere.

As for away messages, I would rather see you change your sprite to the "down" sprite. Everyone has a down sprite...except maybe Alex...so it could all work quite well with getting those sprites.

To make it more like Golden Sun Gardna, why else? The whole point of GSW is a Golden Sun chat room.

Anyways, I do agree with Gardna on the point that psynergys like Douse and Teleport seem pointless. Things like mind read with away messages and kicking people with psynergy on the other hand, would prove useful AND Golden Sun like.

...well, of course it's not NEEDED, but sure as hell it would make GSW more fun... nothing is really NEEDED besides a blank map, sprites, and the ability to type in a box for a chat room like GSW...

Actually, i just came up with an interesting idea. You know how on IRC and stuff they have the tuna slap etc :angry:. YOu could make it so typing /douse makes it rain in front of you, so you can wet people :lol:.

Good idea neon, but lets think a bit more simply than that. Instead of something like douse, how about /whirlwind, since douse is actually a cloud dropping raindrops, which is far more complex than the animation of a tornado in front of you.

actually, it would work better if we had, say: '/frost name'

so if I was to type /forst Blink, you would get the frost effect on you, i would have the 'using psynergy' effect on me, and then maybe an action above my head saying *Neon casts frost on Blink*

and the same action thing would be for /me; "/me dances" will create text saying *Neon dances*.

but that has nothing to do with magic :P.

Trillian has a system like that, I enjoy using it instead of *I do something* because it's 10x better :P
