There's about a 60% chance this info is true, but it's better than nothing. A certain company has leaked that that Microsoft next console is deffinately going to be named the Xbox 360 and apparently they have also seen what the new design looks like, here are some shots:

I found out that render was fake, first off, it wouldnt fit in an entertainment center, second, it might be hard to put the cd in...most say that it will be flat thin, and round...think of it as a oversized cdplayer(the ones u carry around) and they said maybe a dip the center

It's obviously a render (shadows and lighting is off) - what I'm wondering is will XBox 360 stick, and if so, why it's being called that. I guess the person who rendered it got the idea from the fact that a circle/sphere is 360 degrees.

Less than a month though until the truth - and the Revolution as well.

E3 should be in a couple of months or so. Its a gaming festival where everyone unveils whatever they had been hiding for the past year.

Actually Micorosft don't want to do that. This is just a render created based on a leak made by an unnamed developer who are working closely with Microsoft to make a game for their next console.

It's not clear what it's going to look like yet, but what's clear is that this is the closest anyone has gotten so far. ;D

Also, they named it 360 basically to not look "behind" in the race of consoles. Playstation 3 is on it's third installment, if they named it Xbox2 it would look inferior, if they named it Xenon, then all that brand naming would have been for nothing, so the best thing they came up with was Xbox 360. It sounds like Xbox3, but it's meant to be 360 so it works both ways.

Also, rumours are good, hype is good too. Hype is what makes people interested in games in those "dull" times. It's not even certain that E3 will be where the Xbox360 will be shown, they may wait until after too.

fake. No disc can fit in there, and I don't see any controller sockets either. The 2nd XBox has a different name; I forgot what it was though.

Xenon? The most concrete name is Xbox 360 at the moment, so that's what I'm calling it for now.
