First thing i can remember playing was an old Amiga. It was awesome. Lemmings was addicting fun, Cannon Fodder was plain awesome, Killing Game Show was frustratingly good, and then there was those text adventure games. Man, those were the times...
What was your first systemt then?

My uncle was a huge fan of it and when I played it I got really hooked, bought myself a Sega Mastersystem and a NES and begun my quest to pwn all the morons in this dimension. =D

Yeah. But they're not all mine ... my seventeen year old brother owns most of them. Probably because he can afford them an' I can't. I sold my PS1, and the dreamcast recently, though. So I guess I should shut my mouth.

And who could hate such a chunky simple controller. 2 buttons and a D-Pad...

Then there was the NES (which I still have, but it doesn't work :D ) that I used to play Zelda on when I was like 7. Then there was the crappy gameboy with lines on the screen (so hard to play, but I still loved it), then the Super NES (hours playin Illusion of Gaia!).
Then my Game Boy colour, my first system that wasn't a hand me down, then there was the N64 that my mom bought for both of us, then there was the GBA (it was fushia, not pink!) that I enjoyed, then the Gamecube that my mom also got for both of us. Then she got me a GBA SP that I didn't even ask for (shiny silver!) and then I got an X-Box for my birthday (cost me 100 bucks to make it a fair present) and then the DS that I didn't ask for or want (don't want either PSP or DS) but I got anyways, and now here we are.
That's basically my whole life of video games in two paragraphs. :rolleyes:
I still have all those systems except the very old one that I can't remember the name of, that wasn't mine.

Yeah, yeah, I know, I started *actually* gaming when I was 12, probably the latest of all the people here, but I have those... kind of parents. ;_;

A fiend of mine does. He doesn't even play them all, lol.
I played NES all the time when I was younger. But that was when I wasnt much of a gamer. Then I skipped to an N64, but played an SNES after that.

I think my favorite old time console was the NES and SNES, Sega just didn't do it for me, exept Sonic and Wonderboy, that was good.

I think NES was the best of the classical game consoles, period. It started the Ol' Gaming spirit.

I'd have far, far more fun playing 2D lemmings than playing say, Halo 2.

Now for example, graphics are needed when you have to build an atmosphere, like it would really add to the whole creepy effect of an area if the blood-spattered zombie walking towards you actualy looks like a blood-spattered zombie, and not some cheaply rendered polygon mess.
Some games need it, some don't.
