How do you guys see/imagine South America?
We're all little third world countries from which you get your bananas, sugar and coffee and live in bungalows with no schools, streets and cars? :D
We're full of jungles and Amazons? n.n
I admit it. I think we're all third world countries down here and we're really really stupid but, what do you guys think?

Pity it only has a small bit of rain forest left. ifonly they could combine it with Central America(southern North America). :P Anyways, I really don't see it as anything, well, special or different, exept the Sugar!
Wait a second, you live in *insert contry name here* not S.A. right?

Central America falls into South America, not southern North America. The southest that North America gets to is the border with Mexico and Guatemala.
Note: I live in Central America.

And for crying out loud, I have the highest GPA in Geography and History courses in my class, heck, in my district. ^_^ Look at all the maps, it's impossible for all those sites to be wrong. :P
As for cities, the only thing I see for cities in SA is stuff like Rio de Jenero or however you spell it.

Highest GPA and he can't spell Rio de Janeiro. XD
Besides, it's not always what is the actual fact that counts. If everyone in Central America classifies themselves as South Americans, it doesn't matter.
Some people *Cough*Izar*Cough* need to take chill pills.

Not most, I've met many, they immigrate here, they don't count it as SA, and Venezuelans are VERY rude about it. Infact, A guy at my dad's job is from Venezuela, and he's actually a nice guy, but when it comes to spanish, that dude's crazy.

And Izar, yes, most people here classify themselves as South Americans. How do I know? Because.I.Live.Here.
Most of the people from here who immigrate to the U.S. do so because their life is crap down here and they would get much better opportunities at the U.S. So, maybe that's why they don't consider themselves South Americans. The fact that you've met many doesn't necessarily mean you've met all of them. -I- am one of them. -I- live with them. -I- should know.
Also, HOW do you imagine Río de Janeiro? How?

That had NOTHING to do with what I was talking about. It is impossible that only 30-40 Panama citizens, cota rican citizens, and venezuelan citizen, US citizens that I have met, and like 5000 sites draw the line at the end of Panama with it being somewhere else.

Geographically, Central America is part of N America. In "fitting in", it is part of S America because Central America and South America both contain a lot of what are classified as "developing countries".
[/nerd]
Okay, I think that S America is a valuable part of the world. Because many of the nations are "developing countries,", thier economies rely mainly on agriculture. That means that like Sheba said, those countries are "countries from which you get your bananas, sugar and coffee" (direct quote).
