I think Halo, the original, just plain out ruled. But as for Halo 2, it was kinda Ok, but I don't think it measured to the original. All in all, it was just better.
Your Ideas?

I just like to add that pissed my pants when I first layed eyes on the flood in Halo. The whole dead guy laying on the ground and then the flood just come and mob you was a sick introduction for them.

Halo2 had a worse single player and the multiplayer was defo flawed. The multiplayer required little skill, it was more a case of what wapon you have instead of how good you are. That's my opinion anyhow, and the game has autoaim, you can't even take that off, how embarassing.

For example, grab 12-16 people in a LAN battle on Beaver Creek, and have all swords. Now that's fun. Other then that, pure crap. I turn the corner with a sword and find a shotgun staring me down. Turn the corner with a shotgun, find a rocket in the face. Turn with a rocket, find a sniper...You get the idea.
Halo owned, nay, pwned Halo 2 in like, every aspect. For instance:
Grenade wars on Halo 1, on Hang em High, were awesome. There was fall damage, so you had to be careful on the cat walks. It took skill to not get blown into so much garbage.
In Halo 2, no matter how much they increase the grenade strength by in some autoupdate, they still don't do as much damage or have a bigger radius. Also, you could fall down four or five stories and not get a scratch. That's crap.
Guns in Halo 1 were better, except maybe the locking on with the rocket. That's pretty fun sometimes. Other then that, Halo 1 wastes Halo 2. 'Nuff said.

Halo 1 SP > Halo 2 SP
Halo 1 Online < Halo 2 Online
Halo 1 LAN == Halo 2 LAN
Halo 1 has a better Single Player.
Halo 2 has a better online experience.
Halo 1's LAN multiplayer is sexy. It is really good for team games. Halo 2's LAN party is more fun than serious, but great.
I love both.

Fat King: King of the Hill: Invisible unless inside the hill, weapons are rocket launchers and shotguns, played on Midship, 2 minutes in the hill. Total chaos.
Banshee King: Slayer: Start with Sentinel beams and Swords, one banshee on the course, no other vehicles, snipers as course weapon, played on Asencion with plasma turrets. Whoever is in the banshee has ultimate power, since they have the only real guns. When the banshee is down, everyone fights for the landing pad so they can get it first when it respawns. Banshees can be taken down with teamwork and the sentinel beams though, if all done at the same time. Quite fun. Best played with three or four players.
Tank king: Slayer: Start with carbines and brute shots, heavy weapons found on course, vehicles are two banshees, four ghosts, and two tanks, played on Coagulation with machine gun turrets. Best played with three players. Whoever gets in the tank has ultimate power, so the other two guys have to team up on the tank to get rid of it, fast. There are three major methods, one: hijack after getting close to it via ghost or banshee(practically scuicide, so both at the same time), two: distract it with one player while the other hijacks it(so it's only scuicide for one player), three: get two rocket launchers and hit it with four rockets(but this one destroys the tank). Very, very, very fun.
So, yeah, those three game types are enough to make me chose Halo 2 over 1 any day, it's pure madness, and it's way more fun than Halo 1...though I miss sidewinder...

Halo1 I prefered the Campaign levels because they were more open...also on Multiplayer the maps werent to big or to small, except sidewinder.
On Halo2 There are so many Softmodders on xboxlive it makes it 0 fun. If you dont know what a softmod is its this. You use FTP to connect your computer to your xbox edit the NEW maps and make it so basically you can do anything, fly, make guns shoot anything, just about anything. Next you put a knife or something through the crack of your cd drive and make it so the cd doesnt spin, that way when your playing multiplayer you ALWAYS get the new maps since the new maps are on your harddrive, the old maps are on cd but cannot load the new maps.
WHy I know that is cause my cousin did it -__-
and IT SUCKS ONLINE all I ask for is for 1 fair CTF CLassic game on halo2, but someone is always modding hacking or whatever...it sucks :(
Halo1 is best =]

It sucks when people think you're a hacker because you're good though. . . . [Me facing level 1's. . . they don't look at their motion sensor's at all].

1. Have maps on server side, so they compare the code with the one on the xbox, if diff kick from game.
2. if they stop the cd it checks and if it cant load any old maps kick.
3. if ping gets down to a certain point kick so no standbying.
4. ban people who hack FOREVER! its their own fault, dont go saying they wasted ur money by banning u forever, u hacked u pay the price.

And I think you just get to do more stuff solo, I agree the team part with the marines is fun but they get in the way after a while and are sometimes just annoying...
Not that Halo 2 isn't bad or anything but Halo is better :silence:
