    I hope this isn't spammy, but will this code work to get a midi file in a page or signature?

    And can I do this without hosting the file, like you can with images?

      Can't do it in signatures as they don't allow HTML. You can embed movies, midis, mp3's, flash etc. with that, though it's not valid.

        Yeah, I remember asking for HTML is signatures, but with it I think theres a price. People putting in pop-ups in signatures if they dont like the boards.

          There will not be HTML allowed in signatures. And one of the big reasons is so that people don't put sounds, marquees, and other annoying HTML items in their signatures. The last thing I want is to hear MIDI files playing while I browse the forum.

            I agree fully. Sound of pages (most of the time) is corny and is a pain for dail up users. Not to mention not everyone likes the same music as you so it's no appreciated.

              I wasn't talking about for this forum. I was talking about a forum about music. o.o;

                That's still confusing... You mean a forum elsewhere? Then I'm guessing they don't have HTML in sigs either.

                  They do have HTML in signatures. Why do you think they wouldn't?

                    Because of the reasons mentioned above, what else? I'm guessing those forums don't allow embedding.

                      The administrator has a midi in their signature, so do other members. Why do you think I'd just randomly put in a file?

                        I don't know, why would you? :) You could have said this on your first post to not confuse anyone. Sorry, I have no way to help now.
