    How do you check your PC's HMz? I need to check it to see if I can get some things working.

    Edit: Oops. Its HMz, not MHz.

      Are you sure you don't mean Mhz?

      Anyways, to check for Mhz in WinXP:

      Start > Control Panel > System >

      Main window will show your Mhz, processor, and RAM.

          1Ghz = 1000Mhz

          So 1.2Ghz = 1200Mhz.

            Exactly WHY do you need to know your processors clock speed?

              I check it the same way, but and like Andross said, Why do we need to know the speed? :rolleyes:

                On a sidenote, if you have Norton, it should have a System Information utility that tells you some more details about your PC. There's also a freeware program that will give super-detailed info, but I do not remember the name of it at this time.

                    If you have over a GHz, you can handle it, but you probably will have to run at low settings - of course, it depends on what your video card is as well.

                      Belarc - I use it frequently when I update my system settings, it's great.

                          Everest is a big program you don't need, to just check your stats.
                          http://www.cpuid.org/cpuz.php CPU-Z a nice little program. <3
                          But don't misunderstand, Everest is good to. You know, it's fun with much information that you don't need. ! >:3

                            actually, even though its already answered fastest way is to goto
                            start > Run > dxdiag

                            gives just about everything about your computer :o
