I think this was mentioned before, but I think it's worth bringing up again and I never did see an answer to said mention.

So, would it be possible to sort of "clean" the member list? We've got near 1,000 members, and only about 1/4 of them are worth keeping in there.

Can easily be done, but why bother? It helps the forum by it looking like alot of people are here.

Yeah, kinda like me. I may go inactive again at some point in time, and if you clean the users up, and I decide to come back, I'd have to sign up again.

I think it's a good idea. If ya leave for a long time, prepare for deletion. The reason you go to forums is to post, not to join and not post.

Delete members who haven't posted in a certain time AND have like 1 or so posts.

That is a great idea. I thought of it myself, because there are people who come here for one day, then we never see them again, and I think we should delete the ones that haven't been here in a year or people that haven't been here in a long time and have a newbie or knight rank.

Depends on who you ask really. I prefer a forum that looks like it doesn't have too many members, but enough to keep it fun; it could just be me I suppose.

Anyways, those people who didn't validate themselves or never posted anything could be deleted cause even if they have to create a new user account they wouldn't be loosing anything.

Thats true. They don't even say when they're leaving or if they will return. So i'd take that as " I'm never coming back to these forums".

I really doubt that any of the members who have less than 20 posts and haven't come back since say, last December will ever return. Some of them actually do, remember the topics where people say "I was here a long time ago, but never posted, but now I'm back"? I don't remember any of them who *actually* did come back after the topics.

Well it is a good idea, to get rid of all the unused screen names. I've seen people who have come here for one day, and didn't even make a post.
