Defnitly Issac. Mainly because he was the main dud efor GS1. Make the double(clone) character Felix, cuz he's the dude who stars in GS2.

If not, add Saturos, he fits the bad dude persona.

*thinks up controls for Isaac* how about Side + B is Ragnarok/Oddyssey, Up + B is Flint Unleash, Down + B is Summon Judgement. Felix can have Echo for a djinn and use Odyssey instead of Ragnarok as well as use a different summon but have the same effect.

The Flint unleash is OK, but summoning Judgement... How will that work out?

THey would have to have a recovery move for felix and issac as up + B. if flint propels u upwards when u use it then thats ok otherwise you would need a different move set.

Judgement blasts close enemies that are locked in Mele combat, sort of a knock-back move to escape the fighting and gain control.

I doubt it, though. Golden Sun's been out a long time and I don't think it's gonna be a recognisable game anymore unless Camelot releases GS3.

Heh, don't expect they ever will make GS characters in the new SSB.
I am looking forward to the game but I think GS characters would screw the whole game. I prefer Diddy Kong and Wario in the new SSB.
BUT, SSB has Wi-Fi download thingies. Maybe you can download whole new characters for the game. And perhaps that will be either Felix or Isaac but I don't really think that will happen.

Gs would never make t to a Super Smash brothers game... Unless, a GS3 type game came out and made huge sales, but again, it's very doubtful. But Still, it'd be nice to see Issac on there.

Since our old SSBM topic is almost dead, lets start about talking about the new one in this topic. As you all know the new SSB has Wi-Fi connection which lets you fight other people around the world. Seems nice I think. If Nintendo is smart they should add other things with the Wi-Fi things. Like downloading new characters, items and stages, if they do they never need to make a new SSB game. Think about how funny that will be, your fighting with your character versus a Japanese kid who has whole other characters which you never saw in the game. You face a whole new enemy then which was exciting in SSB and in SSBM to.

I would enjoy having Golden Sun characters in the next Super Smash Brothers, but let us be realistic; I do not think, however successful the Golden Sun games may be, that they are recognized as "true" Nintendo icons. Then again, one could argue the same about other characters that appeared in Melee, for the GameCube, but regardless.

You also must keep in mind that the characters must all be balanced; there should be little to no use of elemental magic, as that would make them, presumably, stronger or easier to use than most other characters. The same applies to summons.

However, I feel that including Isaac and perhaps also Felix would be fine. Also [and I think this is more realistic], perhaps Nintendo might include an arena based on Golden Sun! Imagine, if you will, the Venus or Mars Lighthouse Aerie... perhaps with the Doom Dragon in the background, or Saturos and Menardi in the Venus aerie and they then fuse...

Trophies from GS characters is good. But I doubt the new SSB uses trophies this time.

Yes it would be Felix or Isaac, they always put the main characters in the game anyways.

Isaac that is because SSB:M was created before Fire Emblem: Reka No Ken (The first English FE). Also, Roy (FE6) and Marth (I think the first FE... one of those Japanese ones) are main characters in Fire Emblem.

I don't see why they DID put in Fire Emblem characters.
I mean, come on. Who did knew about Fire Emblem before SSBM?

Marth is okay, main character in the first FE. Roy... No! Well if they made a new FE with Roy in the main role I would say okay.
SSBR needs more clasic Mario characters like Wario, Toad (but I dunno what the hell he CAN do...), Birdo, Diddy Kong (-_-), Waluigi, Daisy and others.

Roy is a main character in Fire Emblem 6. He's Eliwood son the main character of Fire Emblem 7... They only use main characters as far as I can see.

We have enough FE characters in the game. Maybe one more wouldn't hurt. Now if there will be some GS characters implemented into the new SSBM I would put Alex and Isaac into the game. Maybe Isaac and Agatio since Agatio could have similar powers to C.Falcon.

We wouldn't be seeing Agatio IMO in that game if they had to put a GS character. It would either be Issac, Felix or Alex.

Many people have suggested that before. :P

And I don't think Alex would be to good in SSBM...
Nintendo would end up making him a Mewtwo clone or something...
