I can't find the old hosting topic anywhere, and even if it still exists, it's time we had a new one anyway. The old topic had become far too long and convoluted. I could never find anything in there last time I tried :).

Anyway, I'm in need of a host that offers PHP and MySQL for free. Since spaceports stopped the free hosting these have become almost impossible to come by :\ (and spaceports wasn't too good anyway. every half hour they'd go down for 3 ;)).
If anyone knows any, please post links here, thanx :).

EDIT: damnit, I didn't notice that the resource topic had stuff about hosts in it :P. Oh well, sorry :P.

I'd still like some advice though. Is there a free php+mysql host that any of you prefer over the others?

I suggest http://sitesled.com for normal web hosting (no ads, 100MB of space, etc) although you don't get PHP/CGI/etc.
