Aside from new characters, AW:DS gives people the oppurtunity to fight on 2 fronts, (using the two screens) and bosst their COs with skills once they obtain new ranks from doing the campaign.
So has anyone else got it? any good CO combos you'd like to discuss? who is your favourite CO?

Not so sure about this, is it worth the cash?

Why not just have a topic on the whole Advance Wars series? This is just a DS game, and the last two were pretty good, so, why not make it fair?
And I kinda want to get this, as well, but I'd probably rather get Nintendogs first, since I want to see how well a simulation of taking care of a dog works ... in Nintendo's case.

But I'm not sure if I should.
I don't think AW: DS comes out in Oz untill october 20th or something.
Will it be worth it, or should I continue saving towards a Mac Mini?
Edit; Does anyone know of any other, great, DS games? If I do buy one I'd probably want to get 2 games.

If you have a GBA and Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga then you may want a DS for the sequel.
I'm interested in Advance Wars but I doubt I'd buy a DS for it. I borrowed the original from a friend and I thought it was okay but for the longer missions I don't think I could keep my concentration up.

I had a Rom of that, it was quite good. I like it how the DS has a seperate slot for all the GBA games, but what would they do with the touch screen?
Sequel 'eh?
Has it got a name?

Try getting Nintendogs. It's an interesting pet simulator, if you're up for something that's pro-Tamagotchi

At any rate it looks like a time killer, which I need since I spend alot of time bored when I don't have HW.

Nobody in Australia sells a DS for cheap D;<
It's quite annoying, even on Ebay!
Well, the DS price drop is in like.. 5 days I think..
I'll probably get one at the start of the holidays..
;D
But there won't be any advance wars ;[
I'll have to settle for nintendogs for a while.
Or possibly Kirby: Canvas Curse.
How much are DS games, usually?

Hmm, that link I put up wasn't working. Well, look at this:

I Bet Nintendogs Is Coming out on PsP, September 10, 2005
Reviewer: Kid "the pro reviewer"
I bet that nintendogs is coming out on PSP because all companies are huge moneymaking scams. Nintendo will make a contract to the PSP companies and Nintendo will get loads and loads of money. I bet it will come out in a year or so. I actually think that they are working on it as I write this. Since nintendogs is so popular, they're probably thinking, "Hmmmmm, you know, since Nintendogs is so popular, we should sell it for millions and millions of dollars and ask for 50% interest". I admit, I might be getting psp soon, and I bet the graphics will be much, much better.
What will it be called? Playstation Poochables? LOL what an idiot.

Also, when Nintendogs is released down here on the 22nd, we will get two new colours: cosmic blue and mystic pink. The silver is still nicer though ;).

Actually, there are a number of good games coming out fairly soon. Well, more than that at least in my opinion.
-Nintendogs
-Mario 64 (I didn't actually enjoy it that much)
-Advance Wars: Dual Strike
-Animal Crossing DS (this should be a great game)
I bought Nintendogs yesterday. All I have to say is... aww... ;) It's a flippin' cool game, go get it. Or at least play around with the demo they have in stores.

I'm annoyed that Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones only got 88% when the previous one got 91%.

One magazine I read said that you should buy a DS just for this game, although I wouldn't go as far as that...
Out of the new characters.. hmm. I'd say I like Sacha the best, since her CO ability is pretty useful, especially when tagged with Colin.
Jake is good as well, although his personality is pretty goofy. He shouts 'Owned!' when he wins a match.

I'm not sure if nintendogs is out in aus yet, I saw it in a catologue for the store I'm buying it from today so maybe it is. I hope the price has dropped...

I actualy only sent an anti-air over to the second front, and that took care of all the stupid copters up there. then I sent a t-copter over, put a mech in there, and seeing as all his mech units were dispersed throughout all the land, they couldn't rescue their preciouse hq in time.
Keep in mind that how well you proform on the second front dousn't effect your overall rating for that mission. So you could totaly suck on the second front, and still get an S rating.
So make sure that you just win the second front, and don't waste time on getting a good rating up there. but as soon as you can duel strike again, it's all good!

But most favorite tactic involves Eagle ans sami. Having eagle going first, and having a t-copter with a mech in it, having the copter moving twice over to their hq and letting go of the mech, then on the third second end of the duel strike(that being samis turn) capturing hq with just one turn. Making it one quick way to end a battle.
