Unfortunately Aqua, that's not entirely true. Some people can't even handle one small drink, like a half glass of beer. My aunt, unfortumnately, is one of those people. She's not addicted, but if she got one drink, she'd be DRUNK, and would probably have a few more. She can barely have a galss of wine. I found this out last summer.
And by the way, red wine is pretty bitter too. I only tried a sip of it, but it was disgusting. Though if I had any alchohol, it would probably be wine, and even then, only occasions that call for it, like weddings, etc.

It has something to do with it being a delicacy I guess. As for beer, either as a party drink to loosen things up, or a cheaper substitute to wine that's become a drink of it's own. Some people drink to forget things they did.

There are other delicacies that don't involve alcohol or drugs, I guess it's predominantly tradition that dictates that we drink alcohol at a celebration.

Know what I found out yesterday?

I found out that Michael was only going out with me to "test" if he was ready for another relationship. That's all I was. A ****ing "test".

I spent most of yesterday crying. And I seriously have never been this pissed off in my entire life. I shouted at him as soon as he appeared at college yesterday, and punched the wall. And you know what he did? He ran away, the coward. Ran off home.

And today, he didn't even turn up at college. Coward.

I don't CARE if he wanted to test if he could have another relationship, okay? Besides, he was being bloody stupid about it. I found out after I started going out with him that he waited THREE WHOLE DAYS after breaking up with his previous girlfriend before asking me out. And his ex told me that while she was telling him that she still loved him on MSN the day before he asked me out, all he kept harping on about was "Oh, Becky's hot, I'm going to ask her out", and blah blah blah.
He was fine until his ex got herself a new boyfriend last Monday. Soon as he saw them kissing, he went weird.
The next day he tells me the whole "Do you mind if I end it after about a month" and "I wish I was still with Laura" thing.
Day after that, we break up.
Then on Saturday he goes up to Laura, completly wasted, and tells her that he still loves her and would do anything to get back with her. She shouts at him. Then he says that I was just a test.

So I think I have a ****ing right to be pissed off. No one in their right minds would be flattered to find out the person they were going out with and really liked only thought of them as a bloody "test". And you know what makes it even worse? I'd never had a boyfriend before. No one had never asked me out before. And I did a really stupid thing with him because I thought he actually liked me, which I now hate myself for.
And he knew all of that. Yet he still used ME as his little "test".

Raven's situation is actually quite different.

I may be wrong, but he sounds like he's referring to someone who likes someone, and wants to try his luck and enter a relationship. It's not really a test, but rather a real relationship. Although, in the end, for her sake, he backed down because he felt it would end up badly for both of them should he have contiuned, seeing as he isn't ready. Yet, he still made the effort to try to be a part of someone's life - someone he cared for. That's what I see Raven's describing.

Icy, just forget about those losers and don't torture yourself! I don't understand why some people are so obsessed with someone after they brake up. A good female friend of mine was with this one guy for about a year and a half. The thing is, he's a ****ing prick. He used to be all jealous if she even spoke to another guy, and would sometimes even hit her. I remember when she came to school once and showed me what he did to her. Her knee didn't have almost any skin, and it was obvious it had bled a lot. I have no idea how he managed to do that, but I got so pissed off I wanted to beat him up. What a shame I've never met him, but know he is twice my size and strength.

Anyway, after telling her for months on end that she has to brake up with him she finally did it. That was about 6 months ago, and the idiot still keeps calling her and saying how much he loves her and how sorry he is! I just can't believe it! He even goes looking for her, and then she has to go somewhere where he won't think of finding her. I wish I could literally kill that son of a *****, but if I or anyone I know did something to him everything would just be worse. He knows a lot of guys who would go and beat the **** out of someone for him, so they would beat me up, and then someone would hurt them badly... And it would never end.

Owch Aqua. Owch. Who would actually beat a spouse up for talking to somebody? My gf talks to loads of guys, but I dont go hitting her telling her not to socialise. Besides, hurting them isnt going to make them stop.

Did I say I was planning to? I have a whole year ahead of me before I make any decisions about post-seconday schools. A thousand things can change in a year and I recognize that. When the time comes, will I break up with her? Maybe. But it's way too soon for anyone to tell.

I agree with you Requium. But I know I was like that a while ago too...before I knew what real love was. But doesn't it suck when something was so great, a person was wonderful, but when you make a few mistakes, can't make up your mind, the person becomes bitter and cold? As if it's not hard enough for me already...

So I called (L) the other day, and he was acting like a jerk. He's not usually like that, but I could tell it in his voice. He's usually the more complaicent of the two of us, but he decided to get ****y and start calling the shots. I don't mind that, but he also got a major attitude and it bugged me.

I'll admit, that's pretty sweet. In high school, I think guys are a waste of time, and for guys, vice versa. We have other things to worry about, such as COLLEGE and a CAREER. Basic principles of life. People can live without a signifcant other, and I think we all can for 4-5 years, you think so?

Heh... My best friends' younger sister had a crush on me about a year ago, or something like that. She's only two years younger than I am, but I never even dreamt of having a relationship with her, in part because that would ruin the friendship my friend and I have.
