The characters are awesome and the art is amazing. And some snappy new features like getting to move all your units at the same time. Laziness is a luxury and everyone's buying in.

Well I doubt they would buy all the games. The originals never got released anywhere apart from Japan and they would be hard to get! I know what you mean though and I'm sure that this will bring new fans to the series.

I beg to differ SoT. I think the GBA FE will be the best FE ever out. The GC IMO will probably be the worst of those that came out in English.

I am stuck on buying this game or waiting until the new Zelda game comes out. It looks great but I hate the strategy based battle system. Though I've been waiting to try out a Fire emblem game for sometime. I guess I'll just wait for your opinions before I decide. I hate waiting.

I'll be getting it for Christmas. I'd buy it right away if I wasn't....still saving for an iPod :lol:. Anyways, it'd be so great if they would translate the originals and all the other Japanese ones. I've beaten Fire Emblem and Sacred Stones, and, as far as I'm aware there's no more in English, so, I'm really looking forward to this one!

I don't know if what I'm going to do. I could wait until I've finished Fire Emblem on GBA before I buy this or I could just buy it anyway. It's not like they are connected. I haven't played on Fire Emblem for a while anyway. I've been playing Sonic Advance 3. I might go back to it though.

Would be a good idea, what chapter were you on 27? Once you get past that, you're pretty much homefree for the rest of the game if your units are strong enough.

Yeah I was on 27 and on Saturday I have a 2 hour drive to a football match (Or, if you're American, Soccer match ^_^ ) so I'll have some free time then. I could probably do it then.

But you gotta admit the cinematics are incredible. Sure, the voice-overs would probably suck, but, we'll just have to wait it out.

According to NP, the presentation factor was the only flaw in the game. The cut-scenes were "incredible" but there were only 6 of them in the game (roughly one every 10 hours of gameplay).

60 hours is Golden Sun: The Lost Ageish, maybe a bit longer. I love long games, especially if they're fun all the way through.

I'm not sure but I think it has been released. It was fire emblem in Japan that had it so that might be why you haven't heard of its release. Wasn't the one with Roy a sequel to the one with Eliwood but it was released before? I think I'm right but tell me if I'm not.

Let me reiterate, ED, LoZ doesn't come out till March of next year. You should be able to finish FE by then.

All and all I can't see myself drawn into this game because I am not a patient guy. I played TOS and I loved it's battle system. Why? It had a real-time battle system. This looks nothing like it which I feel draws out the fun in a game IMO. I'll just take it safe.

We are opposites there. I don't like the real time as much unless it's LoZ, I like turn-based systems a la FE and GS.

I think that the two battle systems are suited to the type of games. Legend of Zelda wouldn't be right with a turn based one just as Fire Emblem would feel odd with a real time system. That's how I feel about it.

I like real time battles more than turne based ones, but it all depends what game you're playing. Real time in GS wouldn't be very good I think.

Anyway, I don't think The Lost Age is a 60 hour game. I mean, you can finish it in about 25-30 hours I think. But still, if you want to do everything else than yeah, I guess it can take 60 or so hours.

If Path Of Radiance is a 60 hour game than... YAY!

GS shouldn't be real-time due to all the spells and everything. :P Not unless it was like a PC RPG such as Neverwinter Nights or Baldur's Gate. But since this is a Nintendo game that wouldn't happen.

It's gonna be an experience and a half, that's for sure. And whoever thought GS should be a real-time game wasn't thinking very well. There would be serious frame rate issues if it went to that.

Yeah, Roy's game is on the GBA, in Japenese only. It's alot like FE on the GBA.

Nope, I never get games the same day it comes out unless it relates to Final Fantasy or Metal Gear. I'd wait for some reviews first. If it gets atleast a 7 overall, I'd get it for Christmas.

I play it on a emu and the I always just use the faster going thingie... Many party members unneedly died because of that though. ;)

I bought it yesterday. I'm going to play it for the first time later but it is very cool.

There are no longer items you use to level up, at level 21 you automatically level up.

Apparently it's released on the 4th November for us Diddy so it isn't that long. I wouldn't mind getting this for christmas but I want to see if there is anything else that interests me more.

Another game that looks cool is King Kong.

Anyways, If you get PoR, you're going to pay top dollar, it's about 10 bucks more than most games here. The base should be a great feature for the game since you do all your support convos there.

I just picked up this game as well. Now I am just reading over the manual since I have no experience with this kind of battle system. The characters seem interesting so I'll be having my fun watching them fight and making jokes.

I've seen a few previews for King Kong and it does look quite good. It doesn't exactly jump out to me as a game that I might buy though.

The price isn't too bad, it's not as expensive as Mario Kart Double Dash was. x.x I got about ten bucks more off the game by bringing in my receipt and a flyer. Anyways, the cut-scenes in this game are AWESOME! Actually some of the best I've seen for the GC. Presentation is great so far, and the battles are pure FE magic. Great game for the FE fan.

Wait does this mean there is such a thing as cut scenes that you don't want to skip? The ones in games like Final Fantasy go on for so long that I really get annoyed. I remember that in FF10 nearly everytime you did anything there was always a cut scene.

Since there are only six cut-scenes in the game, and because they are friggin sweet, you probably wouldn't want to skip them. Voice-overs are good too.

Well I'd rather have 6 good cutscenes rather than FF10 infinite amount.

OK guys I'm on chapter 17. This game has a nice story line but it also has a lot of text for you to read which of course I couldn't bother reading. So far I've lost two characters but they were expendable IMO. I suggest if any of you people have a GC pick this game up.

Yeah the long text in FE and the slow battle system makes me wonder if I even wanna buy this game... I played FE7 and FE6 (with translation) on a emulator which allows me to save the game into fights and speed the game up. I tried one turn without the double speed feature and man I got bored. So perhaps I will skip this one... Better save up money for Twilight Princess.

Reading the text is part of the FE experience. That's what I'm talking about.

Same here. I have to read the text. I need to have some sort of idea of where I'm supposed to be going. I can get annoyed when I can't complete a section and I have to keep seeing the same conversations over and over again.
