I heard on the news this morning that he may run for president during the 2008 election.

Rudolph Giuliani, probably one of the most brilliant politcal minds in the US, has said he may run for president for the next election.

I for one, think should become president, and I have for quite awhile.

I for one, don't care about his politcal alignment, he's republican, and I know many democrats who think he's cool too. As you know, I am not Democratic nor Republican.

John McCain will also run, But i really don't know about him all taht much, nor do I know of his political alignment.

John McCain is a moderate conservative who ran against Bush in '00, and Bush basically slandered him to death while McCain didn't do too much to try and stop him (translation: stoop to that level).

I'm fine with either McCain or Giuliani. They're more moderate than Bush, so that's a plus right away in policy, and since they've been historically more "bipartisan," Democrats and Republicans *hopefully* will not get in the way of doing good for the US.

I think they should switch that equation around and have John McCain run for president and Guiliani run for vice-president. I think McCain is a better politician, but Guiliani is more popular. Either way, the Republicans have a better shot at keeping the White House.

She keeps saying no, and she's basically ruled it out. It would be cool if she did run, though.

Hillary Clinton said no repeatedly, and I don't think she'd make a good president anyway.

Now I remember McCain. The grey-haired silver dude. I don't think he's be too much of a good president, he's good at politics, but he can't defend his own space.

McCain was a former general I think - or at least heavily commended in Vietnam. Was he a POW? Well, anyway, he could probably stand his ground. But all my memories of '00 are pretty, eh, forgotten, so I can't remember wth his strategy was in the first place.

I dont mean Defend by physical means (duh) I said defend his space. I was refering to your post:

"John McCain is a moderate conservative who ran against Bush in '00, and Bush basically slandered him to death while McCain didn't do too much to try and stop him (translation: stoop to that level)."

If he was being pushed by Bush during that election, then it's best to fight back for his name and not let him be pounded.

I wasn't referring to it physically - if you're a POW, I'm assuming you're going to have a mental state of strong and vigorous health. Thus, I'm sure he's fully capable. But as to the detailings of that election year, well, don't come to me, I just know that Bush slandered McCain

                    ...FOR THE WIN! :P

That seems like physical means to me.

I think Guiliani would make a great president, better than McCain, mainly because he can stand media attention more. But also because the History channel was talking about McCain and Alien Conspiracies. :P

Please tell me you had a sense of humor while reading the comment.

I have nothing against either politician (they're right fine in my mind), so I'll leave it at that.

I have no sense of humor. :P

John McCain, though, has good views on some things. I really don't care who actually becomes president, but I prefer Guliani, his views are closer to mine.

I think McCain is more popular with democratic-minded people because of his approach on key issues. He is a republican, though, which is good and bad for that party.

Well I'm not democratic or republican, (Consider me a federalist, jk :P ) so I don't think of either one as more popular than another. I have met many democrats who like Guliani, and many republicans who like McCain and vice versa, but popularity means nothing to me. I like views and presidential opinions on politcal topics and such.
