Ever since I heard of the game back at E3 I've been following it. Developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts this game deffinately has the big budget support. According to a couple of major sites it would seem for some reason this game is being released on the Xbox & PS2. Based on the graphics and quality of the game I assumed it would be a launch title for the 360.

So, you may be wondering, what is Black? Is it any good because the name sounds cheap? What makes it so special? Simple. Black is a pure FPS. No complications, no bull****. Just pure gunning. Okay, so you've seen the screenshots and probably seen the footage. Now I've got your attention. Now there is no release date yet but I am VERY excited about this game, and you can tell why. Crisp graphics, smooth gameplay based on the footage, great gunning and you can easily tell the multiplayer will be just as good! It gives me the impression that it has a mix of the pure gunning nature of Serious Sam combined with the quality and sleekness from titles like Halo. I don't know about you guys but this game has me VERY excited.

This game looks very cool. The graphics are incredible. But I'm getting a little tired of all these FPS's for the XBox and PS2.

Well Xbox is FPS-heaven, but I never get tired of kicking ass. No matter how much I combine my foot with your face I still enjoy it just as much as I did the first time I did it. ;D

Agreed Anubis, CS:S lost my interest when the introduced the new Terrorist models that were short little midgets. It threw of my head shot aiming so bad I quit. Anyways, if you are looking at this game, perhaps F.E.A.R. is another game you might find interesting.

I've already checked out F.E.A.R. It's gonna be a great game but it hasn't got that style and unique aproach that Black is offering me. Sure, it's not the first game to strip the FPS genre down to it's core and take away the crossair (Serious Sam, Brothers in Arms) but it's the sleekest out of them so far!

PS. Notice how this topic hasn't received much attention. I bet the Nintendo fanboys took one look at the screenshots and said "That's not Gamecube Graphics, damnit this is an Xbox game, screw this!" and logged off. ;D

I viewed it, ogled at the graphics, then went to look at other things. Halo's the only FPS game I bother with, personally. ;)

Okay good/bad news.

The game will not support a multiplayer feature, the developers feel they want to focus purely on the singleplayer to make sure it is as great as they can make it. On the upside, if the singleplayer is a hit (like Halo was) then the second game may support a huge multiplayer option. :silence:
