Okay guys, you know the drill of virtually every Mario game in existence; Princess Peach is in trouble, Mario saves the day. Well now, some drunk idiot at Nintendo had the idea of switching the whole idea around, into a mediocre game concept that sure would make Nostradamous (sp?) look down upon the Big-N in disgust.

Then again, my belief for all these new games starring minor character roles is a result of Nintendo trying to experiment with ideas to see what works and what doesn't. We'll never know unless we see how the games are played.

Yeah I read about this game to.
Seems very intressting. Im SURELY gonna buy it.
The game looks alot like Yoshi's Island, which is good.
And Peach has also some kinda of Emotion Powers. Like Anger, Sadness, Joy, and Laugh... o.o

I read about this a while ago when it had just been annouced. I'm just wondering why Nintendo are trying to get the secondary characters involved all of a sudden. Why not just stick to the main guys?

anyway, Nintendo had been coming with a lot of crappy ideas lately, and the games are getting corny, can't they just think up a new revolutionairy character cause this is just.....

Yeah I wouldn't mind them making a new and original character.
It always can be a bit worrying when there is a spin-off from a games series but new games have been coming for ages from the series. This will either be a successful spin off like Mario Kart or the Mario RPGS or it will fail and be left to the bargain bin of history. :D

Haha, I find this a funny. What would Mario need saving from? Bowser? I doubt it. I remember Luigi's Mansion where Mario was trapped in a haunted house. Maybe they will do something like it.

Wow. I haven't heard of any other offbeat Mario games being announced other than this. For the DS, all there is in offbeats is Metroid Pinball, Tingle RPG, and Super Princess Peach(which has been announced since the DS was released). I don't get why you guys think Nintendo is flooding the lands of the DS with offbeats, considering there' just as many nintendo online games(mario kart, metroid hunters, and animal crossing), just as many hit original recent Nintendo titles(Nintendogs, Advance Wards DS, Kirby Canvas Curse), and just as many bad ports(Robots, Sims Urbz, Spyro). Really, why come down on one genre that's bound to exist, if it's not overflowing the market? I think you guys just want to complain.

And Zaffa seems to abuse the word Drunk, and considering my background, I really don't find that funny. I doubt Nintendo beats their workers when they're angry.

They've gone down the toilet, taking there ideas with them. The Old Nintendo rocked, the newer stuff bores me to tears, and now this? It's a calamity that I am sure will even make little kids cry.

Anyone else remember Paper Mario? Just another Mario game...but even more kiddy than before! Naw, didn't turn out that way, did it? Katamari Damacy? Roll around...junk...with a ball. Yeah, that'll be fun for about...ten seconds. And now it's a hit. Viewtiful Joe, gawd those graphics look ***, who would buy that?...oldschool prevails? The heck? Yeah, it did well too. Nintendogs? A farking dog simulator? C'mon Nintendo...we knew you were kiddy, but this?...and then it sells consoles. MIND flexer? And now it's getting all the adults in Japan hooked. Cell shaded Zelda?...and it fits too. Huh. Anyone else notice something here? Odd games seem to contradict what we think in the end, unless you're stubborn minded and don't give the game a real try. Honestly, why are you guys all so negative about this?

Emotions, it's like Call of Kthlua, or whatever it's called, like Eternal Darkness, mess with the character's emotions and it changes gameplay. It's not a new idea, but this is a good first step towards incorperating it, and it's good to see a 2d mario platformer on here, even if you play as Peach.
