Damn, things are getting heated up here.

Before I always said Google was the leader there and always will be, but now if you visit Windows Live and check the Ideas section... I think MS might change it... Just read up information if you don't know whats going on... It's intense.

    Use Google News

So, who you think going to dominate the search market and email and those stuff?
    Me: I'm rooting for Google.

As far as e-mail and internet browsing goes, Mozilla has that covered pretty well, people just need to spread the word. Microsofts messenger (MSN) is used by a lot more people than Google Talk, and GT has a long way to go before it becomes real competition. Google has no operating system, so M$ is safe there, and Microsoft Office (in particular Word and Excel) is used by everyone, and the competition there is Macromedia (Dreamweaver vs Frontpage and Flash vs Powerpoint).

I don't think it's a fair fight between Google and Microsoft. Both have their different software and competitors.
I'm backing Google though as I'm not a fan of Microsoft.

It's barely possible these two can be compared. All they have in common is that they have email and a messenger. Microsoft is a full company while Google is just a large, large website.

I am talking specifically about the internet part. Sorry, didn't explain enough.

You can compare them alot with the internet, if you read up you'd see they all plan to dominate the internet market.

They just want to be the medium of communication and information over the internet. If you don't know the internet is becoming the thing now, everyone wants their information to just be accessed write on the PCs, no going to shop or anything, you just click and download. They all plan to control that too...

So yeah, they can be compared.

Google has searching covered. EVERYONE uses Google Search, and that's not going to change anytime soon.

As far as messaging goes, like Agatio said, MSN still has it covered. Google Talk isn't bad, but it still seems to lack in features at this point in it's BETA.

And everybody loves GMail. So, so far Google is the winner.

I'm rooting for Google, since this Windows Live crud is obviously going work only with Internet Explorer. Or at least that's said in the "Windows Live Favorites" section.

I think Google is the best by far but you can never rule out Microsoft. Who knows, maybe they'll ban Google on IE or something like that. But that would just get them another lawsuit.

That would be a bad move. Those remaining IE fans would probably switch over to FF if they did that.

                  Who knows.
