New information just came out that a Baten Kaitos 2 is in the works. The only other thing to be said about the game is that it the colors will be less vibrant and "weird" and the card-battling system will stay. Talk!

I was gonna post this, haha. I JUST bought Baten Kaitos for my GC last night. Then I read there's gonna be a second and I look forward to buying it also! I've been going on an RPG crazt lately, I kinda strayed away from RPG's and now I'm getting back into the beat thanks to games like Shadow Hearts Covenant and Baten Kaitos. By the way BK is one of the only games that has a card-battle system that works great, my only problem with the first game was the voice acting but there are just a few tiny things that stop this game from becoming something amazing, but even at this stage it's still a great RPG for Final Fantasy and Breath of Fire fans.

Can't wait to see the new screenshots for BK2, I love the battle music from BK1 (with the violin) so I hope we get another great soundtrack for the game.

I heard the original was pretty good but I haven't played it. Maybe I might get it but I'd check the reviews first.

There were some screens in this month's NP but I can't find them on the internet. The pink worlds are more down to earth and the colors are not so vibrant and clashy.

The average review ratio is 80%, which is great. Basically it's the second or third highest ranked RPG on the GC.

How can you review it when it hasn't come out yet, or are you talking about Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings?

Okay, I can believe 80%. I played the game and it was about that and the ratings I read were around there too.

This could have been 90% but some things let it down, such as the really lame voice acting. This game nearly had everything it needed to reach the same quality as a good Final Fantasy game but sadly it forgot to tune itself up in some departments. But the good part is the fact that now they know what they have done right and wrong, and the sequal will surely have great voice acting and improvements all around. Which is why I'm rushing (not too fast, need to collect all the cards in the game to satisfy myself) to complete it before BK2 comes out.
