Ever notice how almost all threads consist of a single post from its creator in which he/she asks a question. He/she then proceeds to answer the question using his/her own opinions. He/she then asks the question to anybody else who may be reading. These receipents then continue answering this one single question with their various unique opinions, until the thread eventually gets old or goes off-topic and is closed. You never see anybody having a normal everyday conversation on forums. You know, one guy talks, then the other, etcetera.

How long will this dull, antisocial fad go on for? Only time can (and will) tell.

Well considering I left on my own terms, had an ok run, and don't have any bitterness towards anyone over it... Yes, that does have nothing to do with anything. And now this topic is proving you wrong. Well done.

Politics are different in the way that they eventually conclude with an agreed opinion. But I'm sure everyone knew that. If not, come back when you pass kindergarten. From memory I think you need an F+.

                  And now I'm rambling again.

Politics are the same in that every topic goes around in circles until everyone starts insulting eachother and turns to character asassination in an attempt to bolster their otherwise illogical arguments.

The biggest difference is that GSSF can be very fun and amusing while politics is just boring and frustrating :P.

I know sometimes the forum seems so Split, espcially in places in Forum Help and Suggestions and such, but in Off-Topic (as far as I can see), its much different we usually have a nice chat here and there. I also learn a hell load of things of this forum.

well you do your discussing, and depending on what people say, you might think to yourself "gee, this person seems interesting" so then you add their address to your messenger list and thats where more socializing is done. Its actually pretty neat, some people get a circle of friends where people know eachother really well.

and yeah. I learned a LOT of things from this place. most of which I don't think I really needed to know :P

Why is the above poster refering to Split Infinity in the third-person? Split Infinity would assume that the above poster should want to talk in the first-person.

                                    I got a name, alright? It's Split.

Although I normally break the rules anyway, I'd just like to state to the person above that there's nothing wrong with talking in third or first person. But I'm sure if you talk to Max he can arrange to add it to the rules page if you offer him something good, like a goat.

Maybe more like 60% but Eugine is right, in the Off-Topic forum, most of the topics are like conversations. Even this topic has come to knock you down. This topic has become a conversation. So I wouldn't say all the topics are like that, perhaps the ones in Other Games but certainly not all the topics at GSSF.

I didn't do that when I opened a new thread. AND YES WIND DUDE, I MEANT TO REPLY TO A YEAR OLD POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And did you notice that I've FINALLY gotten rid of that "new user" title?? and I'm going to talk about it in every forum that I enter today.
