Sconex

A little less than a year ago, Sconex was introduced, and it soon gained popularity among High School and Middle School students. At my school, in fact, there was a craze and even a slight hysteria about Sconex, but now it's all settled.
Chances are, you'd like to know what it is. To put it simply, Sconex is a site, very similar to many others on the Internet, that allows you to create a profile, post messages, make friends, etc.
If you're interested, here is a link. Create a profile, and see if you can get a few people you know (perhaps your school even) to join.
I must emphasize that in no way am I touting Sconex as some great, majestic website that you must join. In fact, it's influence has subsided significantly. It remains, however, entirely useful for looking up other people's profile, receiving contact information for classmates, and such.
So join if you have a minute... and perhaps you might even see my profile too ^_^ (ahh, just kidding of course! Wow, was that really odd of me...)
NOTE: I'm not sure if this will make things easier to join, but this link is if I invite you directly. Not sure if it makes any difference, but try it out.

As I said, it's probably very similar to many other sites, and it certainly still has many features yet to be implemented. But it's fairly simple to use, and again, as said, it's prominent among high school students, and useful for contacts.

I've never heard of it before. It's all about MySpace at my school. Some people practically LIVE for it. Where do you live? Maybe this just something that your country does, whereas MySpace is what our country does.

I do, and actually, that's a fairly important point. I'm quite certain that Sconex should function for most registered High Schools in the United States, not sure about elsewhere... once I found out, I will inform you.
But no, as far as I can tell, I don't think Sconex is Region-specific. But again, I'll be sure to check.

Nay, that's not what I mean. What I mean is, people around here OBSESS over MySpace. Not that Sconex doesn't work anywhere else or blah.

Oh, I see. Well, just like MySpace, Sconex is the "thing" up here in the Northeast.
Just curious, but has registration worked for anyone, if you've tried?

I haven't tried, and I probably won't. No offense. I choose to simplify my life like this:
The only Messenger I use is MSN.
The only profile-sharing or whatever site I visit is MySpace.
The only portable console that I generally use is the DS.
The only forum I visit is GSSF.
Can you search for your High School without regestering on Sconex?

MySpace, Sconex, hi5 = Perverts waiting outside of your school. Watching, listening, and making a mean cup of joe.
This site reminds me of the site blackplanet. It looks alright but I can't see myself getting into it unlike some friends I have.

This thing looks BETTER than MySpace... weird how people tend to choose the worst things. e.g. most people prefer AIM over MSN. ^_^
