I'vew heard all these myths about eating this and eating that to become sick or just to get an hour long fever to be able to stay home from school. But I wonder if anyone here knows if any of these things actually works. I posted a similar topic in another forum and I got all this sick answers about licking the handles at public toilets, styanding naked outside in the snow etc. I also got two things that might work.
The first one is not really a recipe, you go into the shower and turns up to the warmest. Stand there for a coupleof minutes and then turn to the coldest. turn to the warmest again after some minutes and then to the coldest again. This was said to be a nearly 100% chance of fainting.
The second one was to put something ice-cold in tour armpit, keep it there for a time and then you'll get a cold the next day. Thias is the one I might try in the furure if I want to stay home.
Then there's also the one I've used a couple of times, the put-your-fingers-down-your-throat-til-you-vomit. Not very nice but works.

My friend told me that his brother or his brother's friends ones found a site that contained this kind of recipes and they put it into a book, but the book disappeared somehow. My friend only remembered that one recipe was a bowl of yougurt with different spices that gave him fever for a day. And it should have tasteed great also.

I've done that so many times that my parents don't trust me that I'm sick anymore. They only let me be home if I vomit really much or if i have a fever.

I can tell you right now that this will not work. you get a cold from a virus, not from cold weather (or in this case, a cold object in your armpit). the only reason that people where led to believe that you get it from the cold weather is because in winter, most people stay inside most of the time, and because everyone is inside together all the time, the virus can spread more easily.

I actually like going to school, not for the week, but just to hang with my friends. Staying home in bed when you're not really sick is not fun at all.

I'm not saying that I'm going to stay in bed the whole day, I just want to find a way to get like a day off so that I can take it easy.

No offense here dude...but you are foolish. If you are considering bulimia, a life threatening disorder just to get out of school you have some problems. You can EASILY die from this disease, aswell as your esophagus being destroyed due to stomach acids.

Hell if you want to get ill just come to where I live. There's a virus going around Birmingham and the near by regions. It's not serious but people are off ill. Most of the Birmingham schools had to be shut as well.

Look, how about just going to school like everyone else and suffer through it. I know it might be tough for you but at least you'll have an education. What do you have against school anyway?

A firend told me if you want to throw up, eat a banna and then drink a warm glass of water. It acts just like an epicac(spelling?). Or you could just do the fingers in the throat thing.

If you want to be bulimic(spelling again?).

I concur with both phantom and Sea of Time. These are ridiculously foolish actions that can have detrimental effects on your body, consequences that you don't quite yet realize just how serious can be.

Besides, I don't really see why you would want to make that a habit (of getting out of school). It's not as if you lose anything by going. Yes, it can be stressful, believe me. But honestly, you should just get yourself together and accept it.

I admit, its nice to have a day off school/ work every now and again. Whether it be faking or of legitiment cause. But every single time I've had a day off, there has been at least one point in time where im lying down thinking "I wish I was at work, this is boring as ****".

Which is what happens to most people, well at least me. When i'm off sick, I stay in bed all morning, go down stairs, eat lunch, go back up again and sleep until morning. It's as boring as hell, because, i dont go to sleep so easily. When I am better, i feel like going to school instead of lying in bed.

I just tend to sit around and think 'Man I'm bored.' Days off mean day-time tv and no one likes that.

The first one is not really a recipe, you go into the shower and turns up to the warmest. Stand there for a coupleof minutes and then turn to the coldest. turn to the warmest again after some minutes and then to the coldest again. This was said to be a nearly 100% chance of fainting.

100% chance of fainting, 80% chance of head trauma, and 8% chance of death 188%. Yay for that.

I had it to a lesser exten, but it's still a tad bit traumatizing.

^ With that, either LF288 really WAS PDM, or MD was just doing that to veer people of. <_< Ohh, the possibilities.

Anyway, I like school too much (mostly to interact with friends) to try to get myself "sick".

                                                  Was/Is. Lifeform288 isn't gone yet. :(

EDIT: Oh yeah, it could be Lifeform287, too. Max said he's allowed back on the forums if he makes a new account.

When I'm sick I just sleep in. But seriously, folks, being sick doesn't just suck because of daytime t.v. It sucks because nothing can make you feel better until the sickness passes. You just sleep to pass the time without assorted pain.

Heh, when I was sick, i used to put my thermometer in warm water. Worked, but dont try it. I didn't understand a word of school after my 3 day leave.
